My Birthday Walk... <3

It's Wednesday, but instead of the usual Wednesday Walk, I'm going to share my birthday walk which I did last Saturday.

In our culture and religion, it's quite common to go to church and express your gratitude for another year and the like. I wanted to do that first thing in the morning, so I asked my papa to go for a walk with me to the church. The church is around 25-30 minutes on foot from my place. We headed there at around 5:45 in the morning.

We had our back on the sunrise, but it's too pretty not to capture. We were on the bridge then.

It was still very early, so the bridge was still pretty empty. This was on the way to the church. We're around eight minutes or so away from it. I haven't gone for a walk for a while now since I decided to just exercise at home, but I guess I should get back to it once in a while.

I lit some candles and offered a prayer when we reached the church's premises. Since it's a Saturday, the early morning mass was ongoing when we arrived. We just stayed in this part of the church. Most churches have places to light some candles and offer one's prayers.

After that, papa and I decided to walk back home. While we were on the bridge, I noticed that the place was noisier than when we passed by earlier. Then, I saw this...

The residents and some people from the local government are helping each other cleaning up the river. It was a nice sight to see because this part of the river as you can see on the picture isn't that pleasant. There are a lot of garbage and it's really crazy on rainy days. However, seeing how they're trying to clean it up, it's just amazing. I hope they continue doing so and hopefully, people in the area won't be throwing garbage on the river.

We continued walking to the local market to get some bread for breakfast before heading home. It was such an awesome morning walk! :)
