Painting Again After More Than A Year... Ice Cream-like Mushrooms <3

avatar

It's been more than a year since I last painted something. If I remember correctly, the last time I painted was end of 2022 when I made some Christmas cards for my friends abroad.

I've started drawing again recently, though. I've done some sketches and artworks using colored pencils and markers. They're usually anime-related fan arts and doing them made me want to paint again.

I had a whole day off yesterday, so I decided to just sit and paint something, so I readied my painting materials.

I'm happy my paint didn't dry up even after not using them for quite a while. I only have these colors and just mix them when I want to create another color or shade. It's fun and it costs less than buying all the colors. haha

Since it's been a while, I just used the last page of my small watercolor pad. I don't like using the other side of the paper because I sometimes post my paintings somewhere in my room or give it to someone. :D

I mostly paint silhouettes of landscapes in the past and focus more emphasis on the background, but I wanted to do something different, so I decided to focus a bit more on the subject this time. I chose to draw some cute little mushrooms in the wild. I originally wanted to make a huge one and place some details, but I'll do that next time when I'm able to practice more. XD

The shades of green background was quite dark, so I decided to layout my subject with white paint. I couldn't find my smallest detailer brush until I finished the painting, so I ended up having a bit of chubby mushrooms. haha

It's too messy!!! But the forest is naturally messy, isn't it? :)
I don't know what to do next. haha I really need to practice again.

Well, it's not that bad, isn't it? I hope not! Anyway, I enjoyed it, though. I'll try to paint every Sunday. I want to improve more and enjoy this hobby again.

Thanks for checking it out! See you around!

It is a very beautiful painting in which the green background has been given very well and looks like HD and animated.

I really like the finished painting and love that you showed the process, how you built up on the bark and moss - I like the messy, it's natural.

Excited to see what you come up with next.

Thank you so much... I'm not sure what to paint next time, but we'll see. I want to make one on Sunday since it's my day off. 🥰🥰🥰

I don't really know much about paining but I can say that the paining is good. When I first saw the third picture, I was like "this is a little messy" but the fourth one changed my mind. You know how to paint. Keep it up.

The more you do, the better you become at it right ?. So keep it up 👍.
