"Ri Shin" of KINGDOM (fan art)
I have been on zombie mode for the past couple days because of "KINGDOM" and I'm not regretting it.
I'm currently watching the 5th season of Kingdom and it's just really interesting and exciting! I binge-watched the previous four seasons last year, but I tried to stop myself from reading the manga. However, my patience reached its peak after watching the latest episode of the anime this season and I found myself indulging in the action packed manga version of Kingdom.
The manga has almost 800 chapters now, and I'm in the 650ish chapter. I started reading around chapter 400+, so for the past two nights, I'm sacrificing my sleep. lol But really, I slept for only about 4 hours the past two nights because I try to read the manga after work. I'm back to this crazy zombie days, but it's worth it. haha
For those who don't know, KINGDOM is an anime depicting China's warring state period. For hundreds of years, many kingdoms in China fight each other for supremacy leading to the birth of seven powerful states.
In one of the kingdoms, Qin, our main character Shin (Xin) lived. He's a war-orphaned slave who intensely trained with his best friend Hyou (Piao). They then got separated when the latter was recruited in the royal palace. This incident led Shin to meet Qin's future King Sei (Zheng).
Sei aims for the unification of China to finally put an end to the unending cycle of warfare. Their meeting paved the way for Shin to start his long quest of becoming a Great General.
I really love Shin, so I decided to make a fan art. Supposedly, it was just a quick sketch, but I wanted to make a proper one... still quick though because it's just a pencil sketch. I need to continue reading soon. But my schedule is so full today... despite my sleep-deprived brain.
Let me show you some progress shots below. :)
It's so messy, but I was able to finish it in less than 30 minutes during my break from work earlier. Once I'm done with the manga and I'm less busy with work, I'd surely draw a full body and colored fan art of Shin!

Wahhhh, I saw that Kingdom anime but don't have thr time to watch it. I'm focusing on isekai and adventure theme as of now. But hope soon I can also start watching this. Base on your description here, it sound really a good anime. The plot is also interesting. But seriously though, 4 hrs of sleep? How's your eyes rn? Lol. And it has a lot chapter in manga, grabi, pero if maganda and interesting, wala rin yang mahabang chapter na yan ano. You'll crave for more that's for sure (≧▽≦).

And yes, for the past two nights na... I slept almost 3am kanina then, woke up around 6:50 kasi I have a class from 8AM... (I like taking my time in the morning and it takes time to full wake up).. hanggang 12:30 pa classes ko later, kaya zombie mode... pero will read until the last available chapter para todo torture na naman kakahintay... HAHAHA
Di ko masyado gets ang hype for isekai genre, pero try ko yan someday. haha

These stories based on the wars and conflicts of ancient China are usually quite interesting, I believe that in those times there were outstanding kings and warriors.

They are!! Some kings were exemplary, but some were just self-centered and useless. xD

Beautiful drawing, I like the technique and how clean it is. Very nice work.
On the other hand, I understand you perfectly, there are manga that catch and it is very difficult to stop reading them, sometimes it becomes a vice but we have to sleep if or if haha

Sometimes we forget to sleep because we become too engrossed with what we're reading. It's unhealthy, but it's such a stress relief for me. :)

hello, your drawing was great, you love this character and of course you say it in the post, not only the character but the manga anime because I notice you have to restrain yourself haha, it happened to me with attack the titans that I waited for the anime without seeing the manga and I think it is wise decision because the anime surprises as it should do in its maximum splendor, continue enjoying the story called kingdom 😃/

hola muchachona, te quedo genial el dibujo, se ve que te encanta este personaje y claro lo dices en el post, no solo el personaje si no el manga anime porque noto te tienes que reprimir jaja, me sucedía con ataque a los titanes que espere el anime sin ver el manga y pienso es sabia decision porque el anime sorprende como debe hacerlo en su máximo esplendor, que sigas disfrutando de la historia llamada kingdom 😃/
I feel you... I stopped myself from reading AoT, too... even though the second season was showed years after the first one... but if I remember correctly, I ended up reading the manga in the middle of watching season 3. hahahaha I can't help it... ANyway, thanks for dropping by! :D

hahaha it happens, in my case I don't know how but infinite patience in that aspect, fijate aang from netflix I plan to wait for the second season to continue watching the animated one 😅

I recommend you watch the animated version. There were a lot of scenes that the live action omitted. Though the live action was better than I expected, the anime is still a whole different level. :) Enjoy! ^^

i'm watching the animated version of avatar last airbender, in fact i already watched book 1 but i stopped and didn't want to continue because i'm still deciding whether to wait for the second season of the live action
as they are stories that i have never seen, seeing them for the first time in live action has the surprise factor that i don't want to take away, i think that affects a lot these live action products, the fans already know the stories and of course that affects the impact they want to generate
When I saw avatar live action everything was new to me, I think that's what made my experience more pleasant, I'm sure I'll see Aang and Kora too in due time 😃/

Estoy viendo la version animada de avatar last airbender, de hecho ya vi el libro 1 pero me detuve y no quise continuar porque aun estoy decidiendo si me espero a la segunda temporada del live action
como son historias que nunca he visto, el verlas por primera vez en live action tiene el factor sorpresa que no se la quiero quitar, pienso eso afecta mucho estos productos live action, ya los fans conocen las historias y claro eso afecta el impacto que se quiere generar
Cuando via avatar live action todo era nuevo para mi, pienso eso fue lo que hizo mi experiencia fuera mas grata, ten por seguro que vere Aang y a Kora también a su momento 😃/
I see... There's a "surprise factor" in live action because some stories were changed and they put in a lot of stuff into one... But that's also good to watch the live action first so you can enjoy it more. hahaha I watched the anime in the past, so when I saw the live action, it was so-so... 😅😁
I stopped watching Korra... I don't know why, but didn't really enjoy it. 🥲
