Weekend-Engagement Week #197: A Barrel of Laughs
In this world, having good manners is essential. Society dictates us these things. They tell us what to do and what not to do. Of course, it's important to have good manners, but it could be really constricting. I'm not saying we shouldn't, but I believe we deserve some time and opportunity to breathe and enjoy life as it is. That's why, having a good sense of humor is important.

My family is just me, my parents and our furbaby Arashi. It's just the four of us in this small house, but we barely have any dull moments. We love to laugh and throw jokes at each other.
Life is never easy, but with a barrel of laughs, it's tolerable. Sometimes, we encounter problems that aren't easily solved. If we only focused on it and think too much about it, it'd be too stressful. In the Philippines, there's a famous song the lyrics of which goes, "Tawanan mo ang iyong problema." It means "Laugh at your problems".
Somehow, it makes sense. I guess, this is the reason why Filipinos are known to be very resilient, that it's sometimes crazy. Imagine, there's a typhoon and the place got flooded, you can see some kids happily swimming in the flood with their friends. Of course, it's unhealthy and dangerous, but they're having the time of their life amidst the calamity.

This is me biting my papa's big belly and my mom taking a random photo of us. xD
Being with happy people despite the things we're going through makes us stronger. The power of humor and laughter is gigantic!
In my job as an online English teacher, humor also plays a vital role. Most of my students are Japanese and a bunch of them are shy that they find it hard to relax during the class. Having a good sense of humor is important to help them loosen up and enjoy the lesson. I think having fun is essential especially when learning something because when you have fun, you're motivated to continue doing so.

Above is part of my evaluation page... it's originally in Japanese, but I translated the page to English. Majority of them mentioned having fun!
So yeah, having a good sense of humor takes you a long way! Thanks for reading and enjoy your day! See you around!
This is a really wholesome post. You're absolutely right, your sense of humor definitely is a way to see everyday life a little brighter :)
Thanks... :) Somehow it makes things much lighter... and brighter. :D Have a great one!
