Dark clouds! || ¡Nubes oscuras! [Eng-Esp]
The day started off beautifully, the weather forecast had been announced and everyone was looking forward to having a sunny spring day.
Elsie had planned to go swimming with her friends as spring time was fun. She woke up feeling energetic and super excited about her adventure at the beach. The weather looked so friendly, stirring the hearts of many to love spring even more.
Butterflies fluttered in the open fields, birds chirped, trees danced as the cool breeze shook their beautiful leaves. Everything looked perfect. Flowers bloomed making the environment look beautiful. It was just a perfect day.
When it was close to afternoon, Ellie's friends arrived at her house one after the other. When they were complete, she kissed her mom goodbye and out they went to have fun. "Please be safe out there girls" "we will" they all responded in unison as if they had practiced the line before and giggled.
Ellie drove her mom's car because the way to the beach was far and they wanted to get there on time and also return on time. She turned on the radio and the girls sang along to the music.
They got to where cars were meant to be parked and Ellie had hers parked correctly. She was a good driver like her mother said she didn't find it difficult to park her car correctly. The rest of the journey was to be done by foot as the beach was not too far from where cars were parked.
The girls chattered happily as they walked their way down. On their arrival, they were so caught up with so much happiness to even notice that there was no one at the beach. They all ran and submersed themselves in the water till like after some time Ellie stuck her head out and looked around. Then she noticed that no one was at the beach but them and also the clouds had changed form.
"Delia, Catherine, June can you all look up here for a second?" fear could be perceived in her voice. The three girls got out of the water and looked up at the sky. It was getting dark.
"Umm, what's going on?" Delia asked and the rest of the girls shrugged. Ellie rushed and grabbed her bag searching for her phone to check the weather forecast again in case there must have been a mix up. There she saw the news of the dark clouds and it had it that in thirty minutes it was gonna pour. The rain was acidic and would burn the skin of anyone it touched.
Before one could say Jack, Ellie hung her bag and took to her heels. "Run"…. She said to her friends who followed suit immediately they got the command.
As they ran, they were all looking up to see if the rain was coming down anytime soon. The sky had turned terribly dark and one needed light to see through. The girls finally got to the car and immediately they got in and shut the doors, the rain came down.
"Phew! we made it". Delia exclaimed. A few seconds later, Ellie's mom called and she picked up the phone with hands trembling.
"Hey Mom!," "get home as fast as you can because the rain can melt the roof of the car please, please, please…I" was all she could hear before the network disconnected. "We're so fu##ed the girls exclaimed. Without hesitation, Ellie hit the road with her feet on the accelerator she drove at full speed.
The roof was melting with every drop of rain water that touched it and the girls began to pray as hard as they could. With tears in their eyes, they were saying their last words to each other but Ellie wasn't gonna give up driving. She drove faster than anyone could think and before they knew it, they were already at Ellie's house.
How do we get out now the girls sobbed and Ellie had to think of a way, she hit the beep button till her mother opened the garage for her to drive in. When they got in successfully, they all jumped out of the car and the roof crumbled. . "Oh! Thank God you all are safe" Ellie's mom said as she surveyed their skin one after the other.
The girls were so happy they were alive. "I never knew you could drive like that", Delia cheered Ellie as they walked into the house using the back door from the garage to talk about what they just escaped and laugh over it. "I thought we were all gonna die and our stories would be told to children" Ellie said and they all laughed with gratitude in their hearts.

El día empezó de maravilla, se había anunciado la previsión meteorológica y todo el mundo estaba deseando tener un día soleado de primavera.
Elsie había planeado ir a nadar con sus amigos, ya que la primavera es divertida. Se levantó con mucha energía y súper emocionada por su aventura en la playa. El tiempo se presentaba muy agradable, despertando los corazones de muchos para amar la primavera aún más.
Las mariposas revoloteaban en los campos abiertos, los pájaros piaban, los árboles bailaban cuando la brisa fresca agitaba sus hermosas hojas. Todo parecía perfecto. Las flores florecieron haciendo que el entorno se viera hermoso. Era un día perfecto.
Cuando se acercaba la tarde, los amigos de Ellie fueron llegando a su casa uno tras otro. Cuando estuvieron completas, se despidió de su madre con un beso y salieron a divertirse. "Por favor, tened cuidado ahí fuera chicas" "lo haremos" respondieron todas al unísono como si hubieran practicado la frase antes y soltaron una risita.
Ellie condujo el coche de su madre porque el camino a la playa estaba lejos y querían llegar a tiempo y también regresar a tiempo. Puso la radio y las chicas cantaron al ritmo de la música.
Llegaron al lugar donde debían aparcar los coches y Ellie tenía el suyo bien aparcado. Era una buena conductora como decía su madre y no le costaba aparcar el coche correctamente. El resto del trayecto lo harían a pie ya que la playa no estaba muy lejos de donde aparcaban los coches.
Las niñas charlaban alegremente mientras bajaban. Al llegar, estaban tan absortas con tanta felicidad que ni siquiera se dieron cuenta de que no había nadie en la playa. Todas corrieron y se sumergieron en el agua hasta que, al cabo de un rato, Ellie sacó la cabeza y miró a su alrededor. Entonces se dio cuenta de que no había nadie en la playa más que ellas y también que las nubes habían cambiado de forma.
"Delia, Catherine, June ¿podéis mirar aquí arriba un segundo?" el miedo se percibía en su voz. Las tres chicas salieron del agua y miraron al cielo. Estaba oscureciendo.
"Umm, ¿qué está pasando?" preguntó Delia y el resto de las chicas se encogió de hombros. Ellie se apresuró y cogió su bolso buscando su teléfono para comprobar de nuevo la previsión meteorológica por si debía haber una confusión. Allí vio la noticia de los nubarrones y que decía que en treinta minutos iba a llover a cántaros. La lluvia era ácida y quemaría la piel de cualquiera que tocara.
Antes de que se pudiera decir Jack, Ellie colgó su bolsa y se puso en marcha. "Corre" .... Dijo a sus amigos, que siguieron su ejemplo en cuanto recibieron la orden.
Mientras corrían, todos miraban hacia arriba para ver si la lluvia iba a caer pronto. El cielo se había vuelto terriblemente oscuro y se necesitaba luz para poder ver. Las chicas llegaron por fin al coche y nada más entrar y cerrar las puertas, la lluvia arreció.
"¡Uf! lo hemos conseguido". exclamó Delia. Unos segundos más tarde, la madre de Ellie llamó y ella cogió el teléfono con las manos temblorosas.
"¡Hola mamá!", "llega a casa lo más rápido que puedas porque la lluvia puede derretir el techo del coche por favor, por favor, por favor... yo" fue todo lo que pudo oír antes de que la red se desconectara. "Estamos tan jodidos" exclamaron las chicas. Sin dudarlo, Ellie salió a la carretera y con el pie en el acelerador condujo a toda velocidad.
El techo se derretía con cada gota de agua de lluvia que lo tocaba y las chicas comenzaron a rezar con todas sus fuerzas. Con lágrimas en los ojos, se decían sus últimas palabras pero Ellie no iba a dejar de conducir. Condujo más rápido de lo que cualquiera podría pensar y antes de que se dieran cuenta, ya estaban en la casa de Ellie.
Cómo salimos ahora las chicas sollozaban y Ellie tuvo que pensar en una manera, pulsó el botón de pitido hasta que su madre le abrió el garaje para que entrara. Cuando entraron con éxito, todas saltaron del coche y el techo se derrumbó. . "¡Oh! Gracias a Dios que todas estáis a salvo" dijo la madre de Ellie mientras examinaba su piel una tras otra.
Las chicas estaban muy contentas de estar vivas. "No sabía que pudieras conducir así", animó Delia a Ellie mientras entraban en la casa por la puerta trasera del garaje para hablar de lo que acababan de escapar y reírse de ello. "Pensé que todos íbamos a morir y que nuestras historias serían contadas a los niños" dijo Ellie y todos rieron con gratitud en sus corazones.
