Hurray it's the first of December today and I'm already perceiving Christmas. I can't wait to get gifts, Christmas cards and wishes, hang out with friends and bask in the weather and Joy of the season.

Actually the holidays are definitely about traditions and different families have their own tradition so I'm gonna be sharing my own family tradition with you all.

My most cherished family tradition is that my dad gets to make all the meals we'll ever eat. Haha! My dad is a very lazy ass who hates coming around to help in the kitchen whenever a meal is being prepared but trust me when I say he's a great cook.

He made one of the Christmas dishes we had a few years back after a little argument with my mom. She complained about the fact that he doesn't help at all and so to avoid that argument getting super heated when we were supposed to be celebrating, my dad promised to make all the dishes whenever it was Christmas holidays where the family would be gathering for a get together.

That was how the whole thing came about, at first it was funny watching him in the kitchen but when we got to taste his food it was sooooo sumptuous that I ate and re-ate. I'm a foodie, don't blame me, my taste for amazing dishes cannot be compared to anything. Lol

The holidays are my most cherished moments because I get to meet all my brothers and sisters who have been away for a long time.

We host a family get together and everyone has to be present. My sister's come with their kids and husband giving us their happy married life tales and I just sit back and enjoy since I'm the yet to be married one. Hehe

We all come together as a family, eat the food made by dad, tease him about everything and laugh a lot. Mom would tell stories of how she got to meet my dad and she does this every year when we get together.

It's always fun to listen because every year we get to know those hidden things we never knew about our parents and it's always the best moments for me. We hang out as a family reaching out to our neighbors and exchanging pleasantries and of course gifts.

I really love this time of the year and wish it can never go away.

A happy New month to you all and Merry Christmas in advance. Don't forget to stay safe as you spread love and joy to everyone around you. My humble appreciation to @rem-steem for her invitation to join this amazing contest and also to the @ladiesofhive community. It's been a pleasure to always participate in your amazing contest.

That's a nice tradition you have which you will cherish for the rest of your life. I can relate, my Dad also used to cook occasionally. He used to look so nervous/amateur but the food always taste good.
