Life is a precious gift that has been bestowed upon us and it is up to us to make the most of it.

Each beautiful day presents us with a new opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime no matter how hard things may be. One of the most important lessons I've learnt in life is to embrace every moment, as every moment counts. The quote "Life is about moments. Create them, don't wait for them," is a powerful reminder that we have the power to shape our own lives and make every moment count.

A few weeks ago, I went on a language assignment as a linguistic student to a remote village to learn some speech sounds from the native language speakers. Unfortunately, there was no electricity in the village at the time of my visit so my devices went off and I was so bored but couldn't leave because I wasn't done with my assignment.

I had a conversation with some of the locals and apparently they were used to the "no electricity" kind of life and from their responses I realized that they were seizing the moment. Whenever they had electricity, they jubilated but when there was none, they basked in the beauty of nature.

The countryside is a very beautiful place to be, the environment is cool with colorful birds around, tall trees and summer flowers blooming everywhere and on days when there's no electricity especially at night, the people sing and dance in the moonlight or play in the rain on rainy evenings. They go farming, they climb trees, run barefooted and even go hunting. I was so intrigued by how happy they were even without having so much technology. Most of them don't even have TV and they don't even need it. According to some old fellas around there, technology wasn't born with us humans, they said technology has brought about chaos in our world and I slightly agree to that. Technology has had its advantages and also its disadvantages.

Life can be unpredictable and it is easy to get caught up in the daily routine. We often put off doing the things we love or spending time with the people who matter to us thinking that we will do it someday. However, the truth is that "someday" may never come and we may miss out on the opportunity to create some of the most cherished moments of our lives.

I did create mine with the villagers, I joined in the singing and dancing at night, they were so receptive but my phone camera couldn't capture anything nice at night. I was so happy to have been assigned to that village and my time there was definitely worth it. I did learn a lot from these people.

To create moments in life, we just need to take action and seize opportunities. It could be as simple as taking a walk in the park, trying a new hobby or making a phone call to a long-lost friend.

All you need is to break free from your comfort zone and be open to new experiences that enrich lives even if it means taking risks and making mistakes, we should never let fear hold us back from creating the ideal life we want.

Sometimes we need to put down our phones, turn off our laptops, and be fully engaged in the present. I'm glad I had to experience that for once. I've been trying to make a habit of being away from my devices half of the day and just being around nature where I can just breathe and forget the storms of life while savoring every moment and being grateful for the small things that make my life worth living.

Whether it is the warmth of the sun on our face, the sound of the birds chirping, or the laughter of our loved ones, we should embrace every moment and make it count.

Life is just too short, and I think we should live it to the fullest. Make every moment count by creating experiences that enrich your beautiful life and the lives of those around you.

I don't think anyone should ever wait for the perfect moment to come. Instead, make the moment perfect by being present, taking actions, and seizing opportunities.

Let's join hands and create moments that we will cherish forever and make every blissful day count.
