Watching movies on Netflix these days has been somewhat boring but yesterday was kinda different because I found something that wasn't only entertaining but was mind-blowing and annoying at the same time.

I actually do enjoy crime drama's and I mean the ones that get me thrilled and stick to my screen just to know the next move.

Based on a true story, love you to death is a 2019 crime drama that aired on lifetime. It was released on the lifetime channel on January 26, 2019. Directed by Alex Kalymnios.

This movie centers on how a mother abused her own daughter just to find favor in the sight of others. According to the movie, Esme who in real life is Emily Skeggs had to play the sickly daughter of Camile Stoller whose real name is Marcia Gay Harden. They seemed to have a perfect relationship from start but as things unfold we get to realize that Camile was using her daughter as bait.

It's sad to watch the girl want to live her normal life like every other kid but the abusive, overprotective and greedy mother won't let her. She even went as far as faking the girl's age just so everyone would think her as a kid who's suffering from a deadly disease.

Greed let her scrape off the girl's hair and would tie up her chest just so no one sees her growing apples. Afterall people believe that a cancer patient can never have a good system development or talk less of growing healthy body organs.

Esme wanted to be free and live her normal life but she didn't know how to confront her wicked mother who could even strangle her if she dared misbehaving. Her love for the normal kid typpa life dawned on her when she met a guy called Scott. She fell in love and as time went by planned her escape motive with him which didn't end well because Scott ended up stabbing her mother (Camile) to death while they both disappeared to have the fun of their lives forgetting that the police always have a way of fishing out culprits.

It was sad that Scott got into jail and maybe was sentenced to death I don't know but from what the officials told Esme when she asked about Scott, I believe that he was gonna rot in jail while she was assigned years to serve.

The question here is how can a mother abuse her own child all because she wants to gain charity from people and the government? It's really sickening and in my opinion she deserved to die painfully because she had caused Esme so much pain from childhood that's why she refused the girl seeing her dad when she wanted and didn't want her associating with anyone just so that her secret doesn't get leaked and she stand a chance of losing everything.

The movie is quite an interesting watch to me, it made me put myself in the shoes of Esme since it's based on a true life story. The pain she had to go through because of her mother for twenty one years! Living the sickly fake life and not being able to even go to school. Definitely Camile deserved that death, there are some types of humans that don't deserve the air they breathe.

Thank you for reading so far, I totally recommend this movie. You're gonna love it if you're into crime dramas. Do have a lovely day, beautiful people.
