On the Importance of Personal Hygiene Before Using Public Transportation

It's not uncommon for people to opt for public transportation even when they have their own cars parked in their garages. Whether it's to save money or to avoid the hassle of dealing with drivers, many individuals choose buses, trains, and subways for their daily commute. I should have just ordered a bolt ride but I chose to rely on public transportation to get to my destination.

The Pleasant Ride Turned Sour

With enthusiasm, I wore my finest clothes with a touch of my favorite perfume. Excitement flushed over me as I was going about my business. As someone without a car, I have come to appreciate the convenience and cost effectiveness of public transportation. I got on this bus, and while it took stops to pick other people, I enjoyed the fragrance they wore but this heavenly experience got wiped immediately one dude hopped in. This dude didn't even look like the smell coming from him. Though his physical appearance wasn't very impressive, he was at least well groomed.

A Disturbing Encounter

I just kept wondering how an individual could have a finesse structure but smell terribly. I prayed in my heart that he sat somewhere else because it was going to be too bad if he sat next to me, but nope, bro literally walked to my seat row, and sat very close to me. I mean his elbow was nudging mine; there was almost no space between us. PS: there were other seats in that bus.

I couldn't breathe. I tried hard to hold my breath, but it wasn't working. I kept praying he was going to get off at the next stop, but dude stuck to his seat. I almost died; I mean his smell terrorized the passengers. Some asked the driver politely to open the windows, but no one dared tell this dude to at least use a roll-on next time.. I guess I was the worst victim because my personal hygiene efforts, including wearing perfume, were futile as the stench was overpowering.

The Unbearable Smell

At some point, I thought he was a ghost because I couldn't bring myself to believe that a human could smell so terribly. When I could no longer endure, I took out a sheet of paper from my bag and scribbled some words on it, which I handed to the dude and got off the bus.

Leaving the bus meant that I had to spend additional money to reach my intended destination . While you may wonder what I wrote in that note, be rest assured I was as polite as a house rat.

I don't know how much deodorants cost, but some humans prefer not to buy or make use of them. I know there are some people who don't use these things, but they try their best to take deep baths at least three times an effing day. We weren't born with a natural sweet fragrance, so it's essential that anyone makes use of the artificial one provided for us by some very thoughtful beings.

It doesn't require a significant financial investment to maintain proper personal hygiene, and it adds an element of refinement and class to our appearance.

It’s definitely difficult to deal with someone who smells like a trash can. Sadly what the cause of that in many cases is eating poor things.. when you are able to eat healthy then you don’t need to use deodorants. It’s not easy and often expensive to do that though, so it’s a good idea to put on something to cover up a stink.

Very true. You're stating the facts. It's very upsetting having someone stink beside you especially in a public transportation. I'm so sorry for this late response. Just seeing this now. Thank you so much for your comment. I really appreciate it lots.
