The heavens opened

It all started with tiny drops pitter pattering on my roof making melodious sounds which could drift one to sleep.
I walked to my window and leaned against it watching nature react to the rain.

The clouds were dark
The wind blew and the trees danced to the rhythm following the directions to which the wind gave.

I stretched my eyes even more looking for all the birds and animals around but found none.
The birds had all gone to hide in their comfort zone.
All with feathers to warm them from the slippery hands of the cold.

I wanted to leave my window and also go find comfort somewhere but then I was stuck in awe of the downpour.
I watched every drop that came down, it seemed like a forever long thread.
I stretched my hands out of the window trying to get a hold of one.
If I could I'd climb up to heaven.

How does the rain come, what makes the rain? I asked myself;
I remembered that I was taught in science class that the rain comes down after the sun must have evaporated the Earth's moisture.
Amazing isn't it?

Standing by my window I smiled broadly as I enjoyed every cool breeze that swept through my face.

Every drop and splash made melody to my ears instead of cacophony.
All the other amazing creatures had gone to rest there, I made a move to bed.
In no time I drifted off to sleep where I lost all the stress!
The heavens had opened!!!
