There's a crack in everything that's how the light gets in.

Imperfectly perfect me going about my every day with different thoughts in my never idle mind. I'm either thinking of happiness, progress or analyzing failures and lurking pains.

In my distress I went to the one app(Pinterest) that keeps me calm whenever I'm down and there I found the quote by Leonard Cohen ; "there's a crack in everything that's how the light gets in".

I pondered on those words for a long time and got dewy eyed. I'm not perfect and I don't think I can ever be. Not for myself or for anyone around. Afterall it seems like some humans came to this world to judge others. I've been questioned about almost everything, even to the way I walk. Some judgemental humans have no idea what the next person is going through, they tend to assume you've had the fattest chicken just because they see you wear a smile.

I'm not the type to wear a long face because I'm sad or troubled about some life issues, I'd rather wear a smile and lighten up another's while I soak myself in a hot tub at the end of the day. It's been a hell of a ride lately as I've been slacking on many things. I've blamed myself most of the time but blaming myself has not solved one percent of my problems. I've been judged from different lips over nothing they know about, they all see themselves as the perfect ones just because they feel they can scale in the area I failed.

Their judgements instilled fear in me and I thought of forgetting everything and running but then the quote from Leonard just made me realize that I should face everything and rise.

It's one thing to let people judge you but it's another to let your mind replay their judgements making it difficult for the heart to delete. Pondering on their slams, yells and uncalled for critics would only make me sober and hate myself so instead of running away for them to think they've won, I'll face everything with my cracks and surely the light will come through it and I'll rise.

We all came to this world imperfectly and we've all been working hard to get to perfection but TBH I've not seen any human so perfect. We all have those beautiful flaws like I'd call it those cracks that let our bright light Pierce through awakening us into our reality and awesomeness.

We're imperfectly perfect in diverse ways and no one should be in a place to judge another when he or she doesn't know what actually went wrong.

Is there anyone perfect in this world full of imperfections? I'm yet to see a mortal that says 'yes, I'm perfect' and TBH the person could be my idol so while waiting for that person to show up, I'll bask in my cracks from where my little beams of light seep in.

We are all flawed, that's for sure, but at the same time we are perfect human beings, doing perfect human things. Somehow we're taught to live up to these standards of perfection we've constructed for ourselves as if they are real and they matter. But they don't, in the end.

Cohen's quote here is such a class.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply.
I completely agree that we are all flawed and imperfect in some way, but I also believe that we are capable of doing great things and living fulfilling lives despite our imperfections. It can be difficult to navigate the pressure to live up to unrealistic standards of perfection, but I think it's important to remember that self-acceptance and self-compassion are key to living a happy and healthy life. Ultimately, I think Cohen's quote is a reminder that we don't have to be perfect to be valuable and worthy human beings.

Well @teknon that sounds so true. Without a crack no would be no trace of anything penetrating

I like manner, if you dont open your mind, nothing can come forth positively or rightly so to say.

So, what seems to be a thing that fetch you happiness stems from somewhere and something you do not know or can fathom. Yet, life lives on and on and we follow.

Nicely wrote there, Weldon done and keep it up more

#Kudos🤝✌
