Wouldn't you pay me

source

It brings joy to everyone to receive payment after exerting their full power and strength at work. However, there's something amiss about this situation. How can I teach a lesson to a student, not just any lesson, but an extra one? For the past two months, I haven't been paid by his mother.

Since the beginning of my life, I've despised lessons because that one hour is only worthwhile if I accomplish something substantial within that time. The situation arose when his mother visited the school and pleaded for her son to have extra lessons.

I expressed my dislike for extra lessons, but unfortunately, she persisted. I reluctantly agreed since I had no other choice but to help her son. Additionally, I wasn't the only teacher providing lessons, and we both settled on a price of two thousand naira per month.Subsequently, I commenced the lessons for her son, employing various techniques and teaching methods.

Although he's now making an effort to learn and slowly grasping the concepts. However, before the month came to an end, his mother approached me, stating that her debtors hadn't paid her. I empathized with her situation, yet reminded her that the month was concluding, and I hadn't received any payment from her.

Initially, I wasn't suspicious. Therefore, I began the second month with her son, giving my best as usual. I consistently reminded the boy to inform his mother not to forget our agreement, especially as the second month was nearing its end.

Unfortunately, nothing came through from her. So today, I expected to receive my payment from her. Now, I've come to realize that rendering services to people might be easy, but it's often challenging to receive payment for those services.

It's so unfair that she could not pay your salary, it seems she doesn't want you to continue given tutoring to her son.
