Let's make a mouth-watering,spicy and sour mango pickle.

So, today I have brought you a very mouth-watering recipe. That is a mango pickle.This mango pickle is a mango pickle made differently from the traditional mango pickle. Very tasty. It does not take much time to make. It can be quickly made spicy and delicious. So let's see how to make it.

Ingredients;

  • Two medium ripe mangoes (250g)
  • Three tablespoons of oil
  • A few curry leaves
  • A piece of pandan leaves
  • A few cinnamon pieces
  • Three tablespoons of sugar
  • About eight dried chili pods
  • Half teaspoon of vinegar
  • A tablespoon of mustard seeds
  • A teaspoon of salt powder

The method of making;

First you need to remove the skin of mangoes.

Cut the two washed and cleaned mangoes into long strips.

Now put a pan on the stove and add two tablespoons of oil. When the oil heats up, add half a tablespoon of mustard seeds.

When the mustard seeds are heated on a low flame, add about six dry chili pods.

Saute for two minutes on low heat and remove from heat.

Now we need to grind these roasted mustard seeds and chilli pods. Blender cannot be used for that. If you have a grindstone or a mortar, it's good.

Add the cut mango strips and mash very gently.

Now add salt powder and vinegar to this mixture.

Mix well.

Now heat the clay pot and add the remaining tablespoon of oil to it.

When the oil is hot, add the remaining mustard seeds and cinnamon bark.

Add curry leaves,pandan leaves and saute for a minute on low flame.

Add the remaining dry chillies.

Now add the ground mango strips and reduce the flame of the stove. After that cook on low flame for about four to five minutes.

At the end, add 3 tablespoons of sugar, stir well and remove from the heat.

Personally, one of my favorite foods is mango pickle. Mouth watering as soon as I saw it. And it's good for the mouth. But very tasty.And the most important thing is that we made these mango pickles not as mango pickles that we are used to making traditionally. You can make it very quickly and enjoy it. Really tasty. If you feel sour, add some more sugar to this.This mango pickle goes very well with hot white rice or stringhoppers.
