Thank you HIVE for the bollocking

Hello Hello Hivians

It's Wednesday and it has been a pretty grey meh month weather wise here in Scotland.

Yesterday I thought I would capture some clicks for today's Wednesday Walk post. I did duly walk so put your shoes on, the good news is that you don't need an umbrella!

image.png

Out of the house we go, do you see that blue car over the road, it has been there for weeks, it is a wonder that it has not been knicked or anything!

image.png

Do you know the football ground, there is a wee bit of a clue with the lettering on the seats although the first letter is missing!

As for the blue bit of sky, you can kiss that goodbye!

We turn right and are now in what I call bungalow Alley!

image.png

Yesterday was bin day, we have four bins for recycling, yesterday was the brown bins, so that is why you can see the brown wheelie bins. Food and garden waste is our brown one, what is yours?

image.png

Look at these gorgeous flowers, just because where a seed fell and they grew there they are deemed weeds!

There is #alwaysaflower when we look!

image.png

I always call this bush which is pretty popular over here, a Japanese Maple and it would appear thanks to the mighty G that it is also called Acer palmatum atropurpureum.

Then who did I see, but one of our neighbours, a gorgeous pussy cat, cats being cats, they wander anywhere!

image.png

This wee one just loves getting their belly rubbed like a dog!

image.png

So after admiring their picture-perfect wee pawpads I duly obliged and rubbed the belly hehe and told them to get their wee butt off the road!

image.png

Now I had to skedaddle as pussy had delayed me! Past our local primary school, you know sometimes we fail to appreciate how gorgeous our architecture is.

I mean that was a typical primary school, nowadays they're hideous buildings that don't last!

image.png

Look wee palm trees in Scotland!

And I am late, I always meet Mrs T off the bus. We ditched cars years ago and use public transportation. Yes it is often an inconvenience, but it's our way of trying to save the planet for future generations, which is ironic as we don't have children.

image.png

I am nearly finished with Part A of the walk, but do you see something in this picture?

No... Well take a closer look at this one!

image.png
The number 18 bus has beaten me and yes Mrs T is on that bus!

image.png

Normally I sit here on the bench and can see the bus coming around the corner. But with me wanting to take pictures for Hive and playing with the wee cat I am late to meet Mrs T so we can have Part B and go for our walk home via the park...

image.png

Luckily enough right beside the bus stop is a Vetinary Hospital ... Why Did I say lucky? Well if you are in the Dog House, that is where you would go!

Fun Fact ... Albavet ... do you know what Alba means?

Actually there was no bollocking, relationships are all about give and take, and I can't even remember the last time we had an argument.

But if we had ..

image.png

There is the Doctor's surgery with a post box in the wall, do you see the red box!

The state of our country, they are closing this surgery, fluff knows why and relocating patients miles away, us included, so it is more convenient for us to get our doctors in the old town along the coast.

image.png

The bridge is for carrying the traintracks and the trees ahead are goal for the end of this part.

image.png

Just before the roundabout is this little strip mall of three shops. Papa Johns are pretty crap and not like American pizzas says the American pizza lover Mrs T. I just go there for the Tesco express shop, it is handy when I need bread to make some sandwiches at 6am!

image.png

So this was going to be the "Nature" part of the walk!

image.png

image.png

Now we are here in Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy with the lions and this concludes Part A

This is my post for this week's #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay in collaboration with #makemesmile hosted by @elizacheng.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!

Our recylcing food and garden waste bin is green here. Blue is for paper. Looks like global warming didnt reach Scotland yet Ed.

Blue is general waste here and paper is black.
24 hours makes a huge difference, today was blue skies and sun, and I do the same walk to pick up Mrs T and the photos are totally different plus I took camera as there's good weather Steve :)

The primary school building looks like from the goth century. 😁 I often see cats and dogs around in my area but I don't wanna touch them because they might bite. You really skipped the transpo, to take pictures. Very nice. 😁👌 And hey, walking is a good exercise. 😊

The goth century lol, just a typical building for us!
I let dog or cat come to me, I won't go to them. Walking is great and I do it daily, yes getting rid of a car is a good thing to do.

we don't have any particular day for the waste here, something that we the poeple and the government should think about.

Anyway, nature is always awesome isn't it? they find a way to shine even in a place that we would never imagine like the purple flower there.

Yes I love seeing flowers growing from walls, it reminds us that where there is a will there is a way Eka:)

Yeah maybe the government and people should think about that.

Somehow I pictured Scotland to be a lot of green grass and sheep. I'm glad you got rid of the car. I like Italian !PIZZA

Hi buddy, what a great hike you have no idea how much I enjoyed it.

It's amazing that those cars don't have owners, or maybe I misunderstood.

The architecture that you show seems beautiful to me, like some nice castles, the school and where the lions look like I liked a lot.

What a nice way to think of others and take care of the environment, your wife has a high conscience and so do you because you accompany her to preserve the environment.

I have always admired the first world hahaha, that way of disposing of garbage and recycling is the best, here everything goes to the same place, my country has no environmental culture, very unfortunate.

That precious kitten looks like all cats, how they love to be pampered.

Beautiful post, I send you a kiss. @tengolotodo

Thank you @soyunasantacruz 😁

The car, well I don't know what happened to the owner of the blue car, it has not moved for months.

Cats, yes they all want to be pampered!

I like the architecture we have, the new buildings are awful!

You know the first world is not so admirable. Apparently, we send lots of rubbish to countries of the third world.

I loved your walk, and those trees!

Hahahahahah there mate you made me laugh so hard.

Rubbish like what? Microwaves or bad petrol.

If you can tell me about it, I must learn. I am very innocent I have no idea. @tengolotodo 🙈🙊

You don't have children? That means it's only you and Mrs T living in your home?
Then who'll inherit your Hive assets?, haha.

Ooh! Iv'e read about different garbage days in manga, but I thought it was strictly a Japanese thing.
We used to have paper recycling days when I was little. Everybody put out a paper bag full of old newspapers and magazines, and someone collected them and supposedly made new newspapers? Sometimes there were bags full of books too! Conscientous little girl as I was, I carried those home. That kind of paper wouldn't have worked in the recycling center, it'd have been sent away for 🔥burning🔥. These days we have... I don't know what to call them... recycling sheds? trash sheds? Anyway, a little house with large bins for glass, wood, paper, cartons, textiles, burnable stuff, metal stuff, plastic stuff, and a completely separate place for food waste... and they're usually full of rats because people throw their wilted lettuce and stale bread anywhere but the food waste container.

a typical primary school, nowadays they're hideous buildings that don't last!

That's a beautiful building! The school my dad went to stood there for a hundred years before he we was born, and still stands. The school I went to? Fluffing barracks, that were put up 5 years before I was born, and demolished because of mould and crappy plumbing when I was 10. 😹

We ditched cars years ago and use public transportation. Yes it is often an inconvenience, but it's our way of trying to save the planet for future generations, which is ironic as we don't have children.

I don't think it's ironic at all. Future generations aren't just mine or your descendants, they're all the people born later than us. And also all the cats! Just wait and see, they're so close to evolving thumbs now, so they can use tin openers themselves. But I agree that public transport can sometimes be ... dratted inconvenient (thank you trusty old thesaurus for those non-cussing words) ... like when I have to take the bus 5 miles NNNW-ish, then change to a train to take me 5 miles SSSW-ish, to get to somewhere 2 miles west of me.

What's going on with this house though? Why are there metal sheets all over the windows and some walls?

Ahh, good job there was no bollocking in the end! I guess pictures explained it all !LOLZ
Acer is how I know this tree too, but many plants have various names that people call them in different regions.
Spring has finally arrived here right into summer - I’m going to the beach this weekend 😂

Dang, four bins!? How often do they come to pick it up? We only have one bin like that for recycling and they only come to pick it up once every other week. There are only a couple of times that we wish we had two and we recycle pretty much every thing we can. Nice to see Papa Johns is represented well over in Scotland! I haven't had their pizza in forever. If you spot a Hungry Howie's though, that's my fave!

Every Tuesday, general waste is once a fortnight, cardboard once a month and metals & plastic once a month!
Mrs T is not impressed with the pizza joints

That is like the opposite of us. We get trash every week and recycle comes every other week. Then we have yard waste that gets picked up once a week but only during the summer.

Oh Tengo, you're quite the errant hubby missing the bus. I hope you're lucky next time, and avoid attention seeking pussies in the future or there would most certainly be dog houses in your future. There's a lot to see and even more to say but I'm glad you could take wee T on this wee walk.

And yes the errant hubby who gets waylaid by wanton pussies will end up in the doghouse!
I still need to post the nature side what was inside the park on part B wee T!

We don't have a structured recycling system yet, we just dump everything in the bin for the waste disposal to figure out. This are nice pictures you have taken you must have walked through some miles to capture those beautiful places but then I love the colour of that cat.

Thanks for sharing

Recycling is still a myth to many, I found out for example if metal is less than the size of a fist it gets put in the landfill anyway. So when people crush metal cans it does no good!

A cat laying on its back at freewill? Got to be a sight to behold as cats always land on their paws.

This was a nice tour around the block.✨

Hmmm guess the weather ecosystem is also affected there like here, maybe because of the multiple pollution caused by people. We aint supposed to be in the rainy days here but its raining massively since February, even on xmas day it rained that is how bad the ecosystem is
