The beauty of green spaces
Hello Hello Hivers, Hivians, and photography lovers across the chain!
When I saw this week’s theme from @qurator was Green. magic thought I, as I didn't have to look very far. Living here in Scotland, if there is one colour we are truly blessed with in abundance (courtesy of all that regular Scottish rain and the odd dabble of sunshine!), it is green.
From deep forest mosses to fresh summer fern fronds unfurling under the canopy, green reeds popping up through the water, green isn't just a single colour up here... it's a whole fluffing spectrum of green lol.

I took a wee stroll through one of my favourite green corners.

My local park is a whopping four minute walk away, and my calm place!
Walking beneath the trees the emerald, olive and jade tones always stops me in my tracks. One thing people always remark is how green Scotland is!
Well Mother nature has blessed us indeed!
There is something grounding about standing surrounded by moss-covered bark and lush undergrowth after a passing shower, you know the smell, the petrichor, the air smells fresh, the colours pop, and the world just slows down for a moment. No need to use your photo editor to make these colours pop!

Every shade tells its own wee unique story of patience, growth, and the quiet beauty hiding in plain sight if you just take the time to look. That is why I love posting in Wednesday Walk so much, it is all about stopping and actually looking at your surroundings!

Of course it is not just human beings that enjoy our local green outdoors of Beveridge Park ....
Sammy the Squirrel does too!

This is my official entry for this week's Qurator's Photo Quest | Green.
A massive thank you to the @qurator team for keeping our creative eyes sharp and giving us an excuse to share our favourite captures.
How does green look where you are in the world today? Let me know in the comments below!

Wow, those are definitely some greens. I thought Ireland was more known for that color than Scotland :)
hehe scenery is the same more or less
These are such beautiful photos. Scotland is indeed blessed with lushness and I like to come across videos of its beauty on TikTok. Always gives a calm vibe.
Really love this. It’s soothing
Ah yes I need to post on TikTok, those are some of the calm ones to see, the scenic ones! Thank you and it is soothing got me too :)
Yes, you should. Those scenic videos get millions of views. People love them

Thank you so much :)
Great pictures, and a very cute squirrel to cap things off. It must be a great time of year there when everything is green. Too bad winter has to come and spoil it every year... Enjoy what's left!
Oh beautiful green, to be surrounded with the color of nature is such a blessings. You'll surely get fresh air there and can even enjoy a peaceful stroll, if ever.
Happy anniversary on HIVE, Ed!! I adore green, and it's one of the colors that, for me, has a scent. I love that your city has so many natural spaces where trees are the main attraction. Here in Cumaná, the local government has cut down large, old trees to create sidewalks, plazas, and highways. Pure cement and decorative figures. I imagine they also use their brains as decoration.. A green hug!

Nature blesses us with beautiful colors, especially green, which is synonymous with life and health. So it’s certainly a great privilege to have these places close by and to be able to visit them at any time. The photos are beautiful. Best regards and best of luck.
Amazing to see how the colour changes with it's season. 😌
