We are Wee or are wee Small

Hello Hello feathered friends and all sunny people of the Hive

It has been a while, but whilst I was on a Nature Walk Kirkcaldy Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 on Sunday I was determined to take some suitable pictures to enter the latest prompt in Feathered Friends

Wee or Small.png

This then is a wee collection for Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 156

image.png

So all pictures are from our local park, which is Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy, Scotland.

Note this is for Small Birds .... of course this being Scotland we say wee for Small!

Right then, get your coats on as it was cold, and let's head back to the park on Sunday 3rd March...

First up we are going for a wee boat ride!

Got your lifejacket?

image.png

Apparantly the word small was misunderstood....

Would you look at the size of these swans! They are fluffing huge!

image.png

Okay time to move on and go look for this small bird ...

image.png

Uhoh look who is coming steamrolling in towards us.

Yep Stevie Swan heard we were looking for smaller birds than the swan boats!

image.png

Mind you he started to give us the 👁

image.png

Susie Swan was also keeping her eye on us....

image.png

Yes you are pretty Susie, but you are not a small bird!

Let's go find a smaller bird...

image.png

We are getting there but nope not small enough!

image.png

Ah now we are getting smaller...

Mr and Mrs Mallard ...

image.png

You called me?

No No Molly Mallard, we are looking for smaller birds..

Oh well there is that moorhen..

image.png

Oh yes we are smaller but I know there is smaller!

image.png

Aha the tufted duck, we are getting closer but I know there is smaller!

image.png

Oh no, the smallest duck vanished!

Ah well let's head inland and onto dry land...

image.png

Ah a thrush, now we are getting there.

image.png

Oh would you look at that, the wee thrush vanished!

image.png

Got you!

image.png

What about me, said the blackbird... Sorry you are not wee enough!

image.png

Oh wait a minute who hopped up under the wooden bench?

image.png

A wee robin!

image.png

Oh yes a handsome wee chappy you are!

image.png

What a profile and yes we found our small bird for @nelinoeva

This post though, is an entry for this week's Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 156

And I shall pick this one for the entry 🐤🐤🐤

image.png

That wee face! Love it.

What about you, did I choose the right picture for the entry?

image.png

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!

I just checked and it was September the last time I posted a feathered friends story! Oh wow, well it will be sooner next time.

All images and ramblings are from me, the mad Scotsman TengoLoTodo unless otherwise stated.

I never realized there was a tag for this! I might have to do a bit more birding! Nice shots by the way!

You should join in. Every week there is a different theme. But I have been a right lazy git and not posted once since September!

Hehe!!! I love the photo you chose for the contest. And reading this I realized how much I miss your stories of the Swan family, the pies, and the soap operas about Dafty's love affairs, jaja.

Since you've indefinitely shelved the Archie story, you could at least occasionally make it up to me with one of those Eddie Wildlife short stories in the park. What do you say?😉🌀

Happy weekend, Super Ed 💙

Oh Super Eli 💙, I am laughing, and I miss you!

Yes maybe now spring allegedly is coming I can get out to the park more often and see what stories Eddie Wildlife can come up with, see what pies arrive this year.

Hope you have a wonderful week, and I expect to hear about this project you are doing ....

Swansea always surprise you with their size when you get up close. Not close enough for the hissing right enough, that's too close!

hehe yeah Mrs T does not like to get to close as they hiss and can chase you, they come right up to me though as I feed them.

Those swans are pretty but who names a swan sussie?

That little Robin is a wee pretty thing. I love its burst of orange and grey.

Nice shots boss boss.

Your search of a small bird end up perfectly with the Robin. 🙂
Absolutely delightful to see all these different birds in your park.
