En mi post anterior compartía el video recopilatorio en 3Speak de cómo hice una nueva funda protectora para mi máquina de coser Singer Heavy Duty 4432 porque el protector anterior no se cómo ni cuándo pero lo perdí 😂 sin embargo para mi gusto le hace falta "algo" para "subirle lo lindo" (como dice Desiree Lowry mi YouTuber favorita de moda y estilo) a este protector de tela; ME GUSTAN LAS COSAS HERMOSAS y me fijo mucho en los pequeños detalles, así que vamos a fabricar unos lazos con cascabeles, utilizando los últimos retazos que sobraron del proyecto 👌 🧵 ✅

🇺🇸 ~ Hello everyone! In my previous post I shared the compilation video on 3Speak of how I made a new protective cover for my Singer Heavy Duty 4432 sewing machine because the previous protector I don't know how or when but I lost it 😂 however for my taste it is missing "something" to "turn it up nice" (as Desiree Lowry says, my favorite fashion and style YouTuber) to this fabric protector; I LIKE BEAUTIFUL THINGS and I pay close attention to the little details, so let's make some bows with bells, using the last scraps left over from the project 👌 🧵 ✅

_{✦ Iron these cuttings first for best results ✦}

Para fabricar el lazo de tela perfecto necesitarás un rectángulo de tela de tapicería o tafeta que mida mínimo 24 cm de largo x 14 cm de alto. Y para la parte central, una pieza pequeña de 3 cm de ancho x 7 cm de largo.

To make the perfect fabric bow you will need a rectangle of upholstery or taffeta fabric measuring at least 24 cm long x 14 cm high. And for the center part, a small piece of 3 cm wide x 7 cm long.

Me gustan los sonidos pequeños y delicados, por eso escogí utilizar estos cascabeles reciclados que le quite a los collares para gato que compre hace algunos meses.

I like small and delicate sounds, that's why I chose to use these recycled bells that I took off the cat collars I bought a few months ago.

_{✦ Due to the thickness of the fabric, it is recommended that you use pins to keep everything in place while sewing ✦}

Para lograr los rectángulos de la medida adecuada uní dos partes iguales con ayuda de la maquina de coser, doble los lados mas largos hacia adentro y casi el centro para mantenerlo en su lugar, este paso también puede ser cosiendo a mano.

To get the right size rectangles I joined two equal parts with the help of the sewing machine, fold the longer sides inward and almost the center to keep it in place, this step can also be done by hand sewing.

_{✦ Do not handle the material more than necessary ✦}

Repetiremos el paso de doblar hacia dentro los lados mas largos de la pieza hacia dentro, y volveremos a coser en su centro. El resultado sera idéntico al de las fotos.

We will repeat the step of folding inward the longer sides of the piece inward, and we will sew again in its center. The result will be identical to the photos.

_{✦ The bows look beautiful and hold their shape very well when you use this type of fabric ✦}

Doblaras hacia dentro en forma de un acordeón o una "M" el interior de cada pieza, dejando hacia el frente el lado del estampado que mas te guste, y coseras a mano el centro para que todo se mantenga en su lugar. Para el centro de cada lazo doblaras la pieza mas pequeña de tela que dejamos reservada, como se ve en las fotos.

You will fold the inside of each piece in the shape of an accordion or an "M", leaving the side of the print you like facing the front, and hand sew the center so that everything stays in place. For the center of each loop you will fold the smallest piece of fabric that we have set aside, as shown in the photos.

La pequeña pieza de tela doblada hacia su propio centro, la coseremos con puntadas a mano en la parte posterior de cada lazo, como se aprecia en las fotos.

The small piece of fabric folded towards its own center, we will sew it with hand stitches on the back of each loop, as shown in the photos.

_{✦ I am tempted to sew a double strand of pearls at the bottom ✦}

En esta etapa usualmente le bordo perlas o alguna decoración extra a los lazos, pero para esta ocasión decidí dejarlos así porque se trata de decoraciones para el forro protector que usare cuando me toque transportar mi máquina de coser de lugar.

At this stage I usually attach pearls or some extra decoration to the loops, but for this occasion I decided to leave them like that because they are decorations for the protective cover that I will use when I have to transport my sewing machine from place to place.

_{✦ Close each ring tightly with clamps ✦}

¡Ya casi terminamos!, para unir los cascabeles a los lazos puedes coserlos o incluso usar pegamento UHU para pegar la argolla al centro de cada lazo. Yo prefiero hacer varias puntadas de seguridad a mano.

We're almost finished! To attach the bells to the bows you can sew them together or even use UHU glue to attach the ring to the center of each bow. I prefer to make several safety stitches by hand.

_{✦ Perfectly clean, impeccable! ✦}

Esta tecnica para hacer lazos es muy básica pero también la mejor para obtener un excelente resultado con pocos materiales, sin necesidad de entretelas, o tratamientos con almidón.

This binding technique is very basic but also the best way to obtain an excellent result with few materials, without the need for interlining, or starch treatments.

_{✦ They must be centered below the top hem of each pocket ✦}

Ahora para integrarlos al forro de mi máquina de coser tuve que medir el centro de las 2 caras que escogí para los lazos, uno lateral y otro en el lado que corresponde a la cara frontal de la maquina de coser.

Now to integrate them into the cover of my sewing machine I had to measure the center of the 2 faces I chose for the loops, one side and one on the side corresponding to the front face of the sewing machine.

📌 EXTRA TIPS 📌	📌 BONUS IDEAS 📌
1) Si no tienes máquina de coser o no quieres coser a mano, también puedes utilizar pegamento para telas o UHU.	1) If you don't have a sewing machine or don't want to sew by hand, you can also use fabric glue or UHU.
2) Si quieres hacer un lazo gigante, puedes utilizar goma espuma para agregarle grosor en la etapa de "volverlo un rectángulo".	2) If you want to make a giant bow, you can use foam rubber to add thickness at the "turn it into a rectangle" stage.

Sé que este método funciona sin importar tu nivel de destreza con las manualidades, ¡lo recomiendo con los ojos cerrados!
