Y digo que cometí un error porque soy el tipo de Cosplayer que cuando ve un diseño interesante lo desglosa mentalmente en segundos, y si encuentro interesante uno o varios elementos del diseño, inmediatamente me obsesionare con el personaje por el retro o placer que me produce la expectativa de su fabricación (traje, accesorios, indumentaria).
And I say I made a mistake because I'm the kind of Cosplayer that when I see an interesting design I mentally decompose it in seconds, and if I find one or more elements of the design interesting, I will immediately become obsessed with the character because of the challenge or pleasure I get from the expectation of making it (costume, accessories, clothing).

Luck is fickle, I crashed into a treasure of my "unnamed" adolescence, suddenly I had this rain of "fascinating designs" in postcard format that literally have EVERYTHING I EVER DREAMED OF to recreate but I was very young when I first saw them and had just begun to learn the basics of sewing.

Literalmente en MINUTOS consiguieron el nombre del juego origen de las imágenes, la web oficial, la wikia y la galería de Zero Chan: ESTAS MUJERES SON PELIGROSAS.
I researched for a few hours on my own to no avail, it was as if the images had come out of nowhere; so I asked for help from my ever reliable group of friends and likewise, as always, they are more effective than the CIA with a quantum computer... Literally in MINUTES they got the name of the game origin of the images, the official website, the wikia and Zero Chan's gallery: THESE WOMEN ARE DANGEROUS.
Para mi completo deleite, hoy manejo algo de información del origen de esta nueva obsesión, al menos la suficiente para convertir esto en un proyecto viable: Se trata de un juego japones de cartas PBW ("Play by web") llamado "Silver Rain" (シルバーレイン) que finalizo el 31 de diciembre de 2012, con una serie de continuaciones donde el titulo varía. En su actual web official podemos ver la asombrosa similitud del diseño de su banner con los artes de UFOTABLE para la franquicia de FATE.
To my complete delight, today I handle some information of the origin of this new obsession, at least enough to turn this into a viable project: It's about a Japanese PBW ("Play by Web") card game called "Silver Rain" (シルバーレイン) that ended on December 31, 2012, with a series of continuations where the title varies. In their current official website we can see the striking similarity of their banner design with UFOTABLE arts for the FATE franchise.
Silver Rain es una cosa extrañísima. Encontré en este foro a una serie de usuarios que gentilmente explican aspectos del juego, no solo la dinámica del mismo si no la gran duda del origen de las cartas, ¿son predeterminadas?, ¡no!, o no del todo, parece que el juego contiene un apartado donde introduces una serie de especificaciones y así generan "cartas" que visualmente contengan los elementos que señalas... los diseño mas recientes no me gustan para nada, pero los de hace 10 años son increíblemente hermosos.
Silver Rain is a very strange thing. Lamentablemente esas características hacen que no pueda jugarlo o siquiera intentarlo por un tema de tiempo, pero ha sido una investigación satisfactoria hasta ahora.
To play "Silver Rain" I understand, from what I have read, you must be the type of player that is committed, because it is not the type of game with simple rules that can be quickly understood and finished in a day, also the plots can become quite chaotic (interesting detail); it involves writing (rolplay) and it also involves quite a lot of translation work and even software programming to be able to play it. Unfortunately those features make me unable to play it or even try it for a time issue, but it has been a satisfactory research so far.

Volviendo al tema de los diseños y las cartas, originalmente en Pinterest las imágenes que conseguía tenían la descripción vacía y carecían de enlace externo, además de una calidad verdaderamente reducida donde apenas se podia apreciar los detalles de los trajes o facciones de los personajes... vamos, son imágenes de hace unos 15 años o más extraídas de una página japonesa descontinuada de las primeras versiones del juego, y que fueron reproducidas multiples veces al punto que es imposible encontrar la fuente original. En Zero Chan sucede lo mismo pero las imágenes tienen un poquito mas de calidad.
Back to the subject of the designs and cards, originally on Pinterest the images I got had the description empty and lacked external link, in addition to a truly reduced quality where you could barely appreciate the details of the costumes or factions of the characters... come on, they are images of about 15 years ago or more extracted from a discontinued Japanese page of the first versions of the game, and that were reproduced multiple times to the point that it is impossible to find the original source. In Zero Chan the same thing happens but the images have a little more quality.
✦ On Friday I ordered the printing of 6 sheets with 12 designs that I loved. It's just to remember and keep them in my list of projects, later I have to zoom in the images and draw myself the complements of each section and piece of the costumes ✦
La actual galería en Zero Chan cuenta con casi 2.300 imágenes, no las he visto todas pero he tomado los diseños que mas me impresionaron y las descargué, hice la prueba de aplicar a 2 de estas referencias la APP de Remini para recuperar algo de nitidez.

Ahora quiero hablar un poco del por qué éstos fueron mis diseños favoritos hasta ahora, al punto de querer recrearlos en Cosplay, de izquierda a derecha: "La Partita" me daría la oportunidad de trabajar un diseño multicapas más ambicioso de lo que he hecho en ocasiones anteriores. "Shikino Akari" es un diseño en el podría aplicar muchas técnicas en un traje que, literalmente, cabria en una maleta mediana/pequeña, ideal para viajar.
Now I want to talk a bit about why these were my favorite designs so far, to the point of wanting to recreate them in Cosplay, from left to right: "La Partita" would give me the opportunity to work on a more ambitious multi-layered design than I have done in the past. "Shikino Akari" is a design in which I could apply many techniques in a costume that would literally fit in a medium/small suitcase, ideal for traveling.

"Aino Misya" es un mix interesante de vestido occidental con características de oriente, y tiene este prop con decoraciones maximalistas espectacular en el que puedo demostrar mis destrezas para los acabados metalizados. "Nonomiya Saika" es una combinación de ninfa-neko con muchos pequeños delicados detalles, sera una buena oportunidad para trabajar transparencias y una paleta de colores crema.
"Aino Misya" is an interesting mix of western dress with oriental features, and has this prop with spectacular maximalist decorations in which I can demonstrate my skills for metallic finishes. "Nonomiya Saika" is a combination of nymph-neko with many small delicate details, it will be a good opportunity to work transparencies and a cream color palette.
✦ I love with madness that these designs remind me of the time when I had not even started in cosplay, only studied the subject with much fascination, it was the kind of costumes that I saw Cosplayers abroad where there was already more manganime culture and great competitions or forums on the internet ✦
"Wakyokenshi Sayaka" es un diseño que necesito en mi repertorio cuando tenga toda la intención de hacerme notar entre una multitud. "Egoistic Rose" es un proyecto wholesome que si logro ejecutar correctamente sera un win automático a nivel de confección.

"Hazel Edike" es, definitivamente y por mucho, uno de mis Cosplay Dream a partir de ahora. "Souen Ruka" es algo usaría cuando quisiera ir de forma relajada y bajo perfil a algún evento, un traje cómodo pero elegante que me permita moverme con libertad, pero siempre estando presentable para cualquier ambiente, y "kawaii" para las fotos.
"Hazel Edike" is definitely by far one of my Cosplay Dream from now on. "Souen Ruka" is something I would wear when I want to go relaxed and low profile to any event, a comfortable but elegant outfit that allows me to move freely, but always being presentable for any environment, and "kawaii" for photos.

"Farchie Leibniz" es como el traje con elementos básicos que nunca hice, no tengo un solo Cosplay en mi repertorio con orejas de gato. "Sogno Dormo" parece salida de una novela de chinos ancestrales, la libertad creativa que puedo darme con ella en especifico sera una autentica fiesta.
"Farchie Leibniz " is like the costume with basic elements I never made, I don't have a single cosplay in my repertoire with cat ears. "Sogno Dormo" looks like something out of an ancient Chinese novel, the creative freedom I can give myself with it in particular will be a real feast.

La selección que he hecho hasta ahora me abruma de felicidad. Todos me gustan de pies a cabeza, aunque definitivamente la estrella a nivel de diseño es "Suzuki Mariage" por su aire de personaje de "Trinity Blood" más el hecho de que tenga tanto azul y una falda tan ornamentada hace que sea un proyecto para el que debo plantearme muy bien qué y cuántos recursos voy a invertir.
The selection I've made so far overwhelms me with happiness. I like them all from head to toe, although definitely the star at the design level is "Suzuki Mariage " for its "Trinity Blood" character feel plus the fact that it has so much blue and such an ornate skirt makes it a project for which I need to think very carefully about what and how much resources I'm going to invest.

Es muy posible de que pase algún tiempo hasta que pueda escoger entre estos trajes cuál ejecutare primero, hasta entonces, me conformo con poder ir trabajando en rescatar pequeñas secciones de cada traje para traducirlas en diseños a escala viables, antes de comenzar a invertir dinero en material a siegas.
It may well be some time before I can choose which of these Cosplays to execute first, until then, I am content to work on salvaging small sections of each costume and translating them into workable scale designs, before I start investing money in material for mowing.

La parte de "planificación" sigue siendo uno de mis fuertes en el Cosplay. Creo fielmente que para que un proyecto te de el 100% de los resultados en toda sus posibilidades y capacidad, primero hay que estudiarlo adecuadamente y plantearte preguntas útiles que te ayuden a imbuirte en el espíritu del personaje, sobre todo para que el resultado sea coherente.
The "planning" part is still one of my fortes in Cosplay. I faithfully believe that for a project to give you 100% of the results in all its possibilities and capacity, you must first study it properly and ask yourself useful questions that help you imbibe the spirit of the character, especially so that the result is coherent.

Ahora, más allá de los consejos que pueda dar o de la "charla conmigo misma haciendo un post para leerlo de nuevo dentro de algunos meses y recordar cómo llegue hasta aquí", "Silver Rain" como fuente de referencia para Cosplays me plantea una disyuntiva, porque si hasta ahora he leído bien, todos estos son OCs (personajes originales) de jugadores en el pasado... el tema de "permisos" va a ser toda una situación amigos, pero estoy emocionada y dispuesta a asumirlo.

They are certainly very beautiful designs, one more beautiful than others and although I have no interest in making cosplays, at some point I always wanted to make one but I didn't know anything about sewing and I didn't know anyone haha so I limited myself to just watch the others.

Oye, creo que nunca había tenido la oportunidad de pasearme un poco por el proceso de pensamiento detrás de la planificación para crear un Cosplay. Ya me imaginaba que había muchos pasos, pero siempre me quedaba en lo técnico. Poner manos a la obra para cofeccionar todo es un trabajo arduo. Sin embargo, quizá es la planificación la que lleva más tiempo y tiene más pasos.
Pienso en lo que debe llevar pare elegir materiales, adecuar costos, aprender a hacer cosas que quizá no sabes y demás.
Sin duda la estética de ese juego es muy llamativa y muy japonesa de otros tiempos. Nada de lo moderno es tan estéticamente atractivo como Silver Rain. Espero ver algo del proceso.
Además, me parece muy interesante ver todo el proceso de decisión detrás del Cosplay. Hay algo muy acertado en visualizar lo que se va a hacer para que salga bien. Ese toque persona organizada es lo que me atrae más a lo que escribes. Hay un método detrás del arte. Eso requiere esfuerzo, dedicación y tiempo.
PD. Tus amigas son de temer con esas habilidades. Deberían estar ayudando a resolver crímenes.
