Les voy a contar acerca del compartir que hicieron en la institución donde laboro, con motivo del cierre de año escolar, el cuál no se celebraba debido a la pandemia los 2 últimos años anteriores. Dicha Institución atiende a adultos mayores de 15 años con Discapacidad Cognitiva.

I am going to tell you about the sharing they did in the institution where I work, on the occasion of the closing of the school year, which was not celebrated due to the pandemic the last 2 previous years. This institution serves adults over 15 years old with Cognitive Disability.

Allí me desempeño como secretaria de la Dirección desde hace 5 años, aunque no tengo un contacto diario con los estudiantes, puedo conocerlos ya que nos tropezamos en la entrada o en los pasillos, aunque dónde más hemos compartido es en las actividades culturales, en la celebración del Día de la discapacidad (autismo, síndrome de Down) y puedo dar fe que sus seres maravillosos muy a pesar de que la gente los etiqueta de " enfermos o especiales" pero el lema de nuestra institución es: Ser diferente es algo común.

Although I have not had daily contact with the students, I get to know them because we bump into each other at the entrance or in the hallways, but where we have shared the most is in cultural activities, in the celebration of Disability Day (autism, Down syndrome) and I can attest that they are wonderful people, despite the fact that people label them as "sick or special" but the motto of our institution is: To be different is something common.

La celebración con motivo del cierre de año escolar se realizó hace unos días atrás donde nuestros estudiantes que son alrededor de 80 alumnos, se divirtieron a su manera bailando, cantando, jugando; dónde también fuimos invitados el personal administrativo y obrero el cuál estuvo realmente Ameno.

The celebration on the occasion of the closing of the school year was held a few days ago where our students who are about 80 students, had fun in their own way dancing, singing, playing, where we were also invited administrative staff and workers who were really Ameno.

Se les ofreció refrigerio, dulces, comidas, juegos, fotos, cotillones y realmente fueron 5 horas de Full diversión ya que a pesar de presentar deficiencias físicas, mentales e intelectuales o sensoriales e interactuamos muy bien.

They were offered refreshments, candy, food, games, photos, cotillions and really were 5 hours of Full fun because despite having physical, mental and intellectual or sensory impairments and we interacted very well.

Cabe destacar que aunque no tenía experiencia trabajando con estudiantes y menos siendo personitas especiales, ha Sido muy alentador xq es increíble la capacidad q tienen ellos de ver las cosas, que por su misma condición no son capaces de conocer la maldad, el rencor, la tiranía; todo ese tipo de actitudes negativas que nos roban la tranquilidad, puedo decir con firmeza que tenemos mucho que aprender de ellos.

It should be noted that although I had no experience working with students and less being special people, it has been very encouraging because it is incredible the ability they have to see things, that by their very condition are not able to know the evil, rancor, tyranny, all such negative attitudes that rob us of tranquility, I can say with firmness that we have much to learn from them.
