Introduction

Hi guys how are you? Today I'm here to present my new post for the Social Media Challenge. The content of this post will be to bring cards with different abilities, especially from the Alpha/Beta and Untamed/Dice editions, in addition, I will bring other editions with cards that have the characters completely designed, the reason for this is to facilitate the editing of the images of my posts.

Medusa

medusastates.png

The Medusa is a very useful card at its level 3, and can be the perfect choice to face compositions that have an advantage over its composition, the main reason is its Stun ability, which can make any action of the opposing card that is within your reach impossible to used, and because it is a magic attack, its utility increases considerably.

In some situations, the Stun may be your only chance to win, an example of this is in compositions where your opponent uses a tank with the Heal skill, such as the **Flesh Golem **, and one more healer with the Tank Heal ability, providing a very powerful support and hard to kill in battles where the Mana Cap is very low, and without a card to kill the back line of (Sneak, Opportunity or Snipe), a composition with this combo is almost impossible to defeat if there is not enough damage to go over the health recovery threshold, but with the use of the Stun skill, the disadvantage can be reversed if it is activated multiple times during battle.

Another use of this skill is to make it impossible for cards that have the Double Strike skill, such as the Grund, certainly a very powerful and problematic card to deal with, and can easily end any strategy if used well, and against this type of card, Stun can be an excellent option.

Despite being a very good skill, any card with the Cleanse skill can end the strategy of using this skill in your favor, removing all negative effects, rendering the Stun unusable, with that, the Medusa or any other card can lose its usefulness in battle, in addition, most cards with the Stun have a very low amount of health, making them an easy target for any attacker to Snipe and Opportunity, and depending on the position that this card is in your composition, one or more Sneak can kill these cards very easily.

First Battle

In that first battle, the Mana Cap allowed to create a limited composition, for that reason, my choice as a summoner was Alric Stormbringer for its low mana cost, in addition, my cards with magic damage could benefit from this summoner's buff, boosting their offensive power, and as the Sneak and Snipe abilities were blocked due to the Fog of War rule, the more fragile cards would be protected from these skills, the second rule, Spreading Fury, could be a problem for my composition, as all cards would have the Enrage skill, only melee attackers would be able to benefit better from this skill, as they have its increased attack, unlike cards with magic attacks and ranged attacks, only gaining an increase in its speed.

Because it is a battle with a low Mana Cap, I decided to choose the Djinn Oshannus as a tank, if there were magic attackers, his Void skill would reduce this damage when being attacked, in addition, with the presence of the Enrage skill, his speed would have a considerable increase, enough to evade physical attacks.

With Djinn Oshannus on the front line, my next pick was Medusa, which could have a chance to disable any opponent tank action for one turn due to the Stun skill, then, to support my tank, I chose a card that could heal a portion of the lost health once per turn, the Crustacean King, which has the ability Tank Heal, and to finish, I chose the Igor Darkspear for having a very low mana cost, with good starting stats.

Battle Summary

The main reason I managed to win this battle was the presence of Medusa at its current level, the skill Stun managed to be very effective in this battle, making it impossible to attack and heal from Flesh Golem for three turns in a row, this gave me a very big advantage, as my opponent's composition had enough healing abilities to heal his tank's lost health, plus the Venari Scout's Opportunity ability, was unaffected by the Fog of War rule, being able to take out my back line in a few turns.

Second Battle

In this second battle, the Mana Cap was also low, limiting once again the use of a more powerful composition, so I chose to use the summoner Alric Stormbringer again, in addition, in this battle, my back line attackers were also protected, as the Fog of War rule from the previous battle was present, allowing me to build a composition with more freedom, although there is the possibility to battle against cards with the Opportunity skill, which would be a problem for my cards.

The Djinn Oshannus was my choice for a tank once again, despite the main reason being his Void ability to weaken magic damage, his stats make him a great choice to take on this role, mainly because have magic attack, which cannot fail (If there is no Phase ability, which gives a card a chance to evade magic attacks), and also, its magic damage would be increased.

With a low Mana Cap, the possibility of facing a tank that had the Heal skill was high, for this reason, Medusa was an essential choice to disable this type of card, in sequel, a support that could survive for a few turns was also an essential option for my tank, so I chose again the Crustacean King to heal Oshannus's health, in addition, his armor would ensure that for one turn against an Opportunity, and to top it off, I chose to use the Pirate Captain, despite his Snipe ability being blocked by the Fog of War rule, its stats and mana cost were favorable in this battle.

Battle Summary

Similar to the first battle, the main reason I won was the use of Medusa in my composition, showing once again that the Stun skill can be crucial to winning a battle at a disadvantage, especially when my opponent used Deeplurker, a very strong Opportunity, which could take out my back line in a few turns, in addition, Sea Monster and Merdaali Guardian would be able to heal health, meanwhile, the Deeplurker could easily take down the back row, but, the Stun was activated long enough that my cards could take down my opponent's composition.

I hope you like it, see you next time!!!
