the Monk of Skull Temple

Scanned Work

I was inspired by the skull at the funeral of the people of Toraja, Sulawesi, Indonesia - Londa is the name of a cave formed by nature which is used as a special place for storing corpses for the ancestors of the Toraja people and their descendants - Inside, there are coffins, bones, and skulls of corpses that are hundreds of years old, skulls arranged on the cave wall which inspires to draw a skull wall background.

The work depicts the figure of a skull temple monk standing in front of a skulls wall, wearing a scary skull mask while waiting for the congregation💀 - Done 3 days using various drawing pen on A5 paper.
