The Tubir | Digital Collage

This time I want to share my work directly to my blog, I usually post my works through some cool communities and a lot of fun things can be done with the community, it also keeps me productive and has an impact on my journey as a fulltime amateur artist. Of course, my encounter with Hive Ecosystem was a very romantic one.

I made this work based on a story that I had experienced when I was still a student of Vocational High School, I took Multimedia studies and like most students in Jakarta at that time, I participated in student wars several times. The most memorable thing was when I armed myself like a combat soldier ready for the battlefield, I carried a long bamboo stick while my friends carried more extreme weapons such as sickle, samurai, gear tied with a rope or school tie or oddly shaped sharp weapons. yes of course I agree this activity is a silly thing but full of impressions, considering I was very young and now I smile funny when I remember those days.

This work depicts two students fighting coolly while carrying their cute bags and floating gear. that's the visual I can present for student fights when I was in school 🎓

Tubir is an Indonesian word reversed from the word Ribut which means fighting. My opinion as a former student who has been to war, let's stop this ridiculous life-losing activity, there are many other extracurricular activities that are cooler than Wars.

I did this work with what I usually call digital collage work with a grain effect, made using a cool editing software called Paint.NET and work-safe materials from the openclipart.org site.
