Pen Drawing of a Mug on Plate.
Good day guys,
Today was quite an hectic day for me. I had this assignment on Monoprint and Monotype, I had to make one Monoprint and one Monotype as requested by my Printmaking lecturer. Making the prints actually took almost all about my day today and I'm glad it came out quite well. I might be posting the prints tomorrow but then, the talk about the quick drawing I was able to make this evening.
The drawing was a work of about 20 minutes, I had my outline quite light and fast and I registered my source of light immediately before starting to apply my shades. I made the contrast quite interesting, though the mug is quite exposed to light but I still needed to bring forth depth and contrast in the drawing in order to achieve an interesting and appealing views, so I manipulated some views which I wouldn't have if only I was making a painting of the mug and not a drawing. It's was quite a beautiful study today though!
