[EN-ES] My first winter clothes | Mi primera ropa de invierno
When I arrived in Brazil, I arrived in the middle of autumn. I was used to temperatures of 24°C to 34°C and it rarely drops below 22°C or rises above 36°C. source.
And in southern Brazil, temperatures were in the lower 18°C during the afternoon, we arrived at 6PM. And the lowest temperature during the night was 11 °C, that is, we were freezing to death. In a past post I tell you a little bit about how I had an eternal flu in the first 3 months living in Brazil, this post is called "dream landscapes" and you can find it in my blog.
Thank God my sister-in-law lent me some of her clothes to protect her from the cold, since coming from a place where winter rarely reaches 22°C, she had no clothes for the cold and it was just autumn, imagine the winter... The following days we went to what here is called "social assistance" and one of the things they do is to donate clothes for people in need. We went there and they helped us find clothes to keep us warm in the winter.
Since I have winter clothes I feel that I look more elegant and as we say here "chique" which is a literal translation of the English word "chic".
Today is the one year anniversary of my first fall in Brazil and I have enough clothes to cover me from the cold and to be able to go out calmly.
