It's Another Hive Power Up Day - Welcome February

Welcome, February! It's time for another HPUD or Hive Power Up Day. For those that don't know, on the first of each month, many of us choose to add a little Hive Power to our accounts. It's a great way to organically grow your account slowly over time, DCA into Hive, and also help support the community with your increase in voting power. Keep in mind, this is just what I'm doing, and nothing here is meant as financial advice.

This month I powered up 29.14 HP. I've been converting my monthly HBD rewards to HIVE. I had 529.14 HIVE in my wallet so I just rounded down to the nearest hundred. This leaves me with 500 HIVE and growing. I'm currently in accumulation mode. I'll keep converting HBD as prices come down and I'll probably add to my position on exchange.

The price action has been awesome for #Hive lately. I did trade a little around 41 cents. Very little. For the most part, I'm optimistically cautious. Looking over my charts the price is likely to go in either direction. There is a lot going on with the FED announcement today on interest rate hikes. I'm really not bullish or bearish, just watching closely and trying to gauge the market.

I'm indifferent about the price. If it goes up, I'll start trading the market if it comes down, I'll DCA my HBD into Hive and buy additional Hive on exchange. Currently a win/win for my strategy regardless of which way the market moves. Honestly, I'm kind of hoping prices come down more so I can accumulate for the next rally. I haven't quite filled my position yet and am hoping for a little more time.

So each month on the first I also claim my rewards and interest. This month I earned 16.986 HBD in interest from my 1000 HBD in savings. I'll probably be converting that into Hive if prices continue to come down. I'm working on a plan for compounding interest but feel the HBD will perform better converted to HIVE. So I'm keeping track of all my HBD conversions and will be adding those HBDs back into my savings when (if) the price of HIVE returns above $1 and I'm confident in that target. Don't know when, but seems inevitable at this point... Thus accumulation mode for HIVE. Buy low, sell high. I think I currently owe my HBD savings a little under $175. Ideally, I'd like to get another 1000 in HBD savings compounding a 20% APR with $2000 HBD savings. That's my future Hive goal.

I collected 13.994 HBD and 75.826 HP in rewards. I'll be converting the HBD to Hive if the price continues to come down, otherwise, I'll just #HODL if the bullish trend continues. Technically we're still in a crypto bear market so I'm guessing eventually we'll see a further drop in the price unless market trends reverse and turn bullish which very well could be happening. Seems too soon though, considering this will now be my third crypto bear market.

Seems I also earned 18.32 HP I'm guessing from delegations, curation, and that 2.93% APR on HP. It's nice watching HP grow!

There are just so many great ways to earn with Hive. I seriously feel we are one of crypto's best-kept secrets. Now with LeoThreads, I'd really love to see all of CryptoTwitter come over to Hive and LeoFinance.
