It's Been Awhile Since I've Wrote Something , Sorry.

Things have been pretty crazy around The Dood lately. My life is either really slow paced or really fast paced. There's rarely a pace in between for me. For the most part I've had time to stay active on @dbuzz and not much time for anything else.

I often preach the importance of staying active on HIVE so I felt at the very least I owed you guys an explanation.

I'll start with the crypto market. With the bull run and a lot of alts running I've been focusing A LOT of my time on trading. Actually , as much time as possible. I've been charting and researching, I have posted some of the research to my @leofinance account. Outside of that, I've been spending as much time as possible researching coins and trying to make those gains while the market is good! Things have settled down here a litte, so I will be making an effort to post more on these topics in the coming weeks ahead.

As the market continued to turn more bullish I also turned my attention towards some older projects I was hodling and almost forgot about. I had a Coinomi wallet filled with several alts that I had forgotten all about. When I seen the price of DOGE and how the BTC price propped up the price of DOGE in USD I decided to see what those other coins I was hodling were worth...

On this front I've got good news and bad news. Most of the coins were worth much more than I paid for them. The bad news is, Coinomi discontinued support for a lot of them. I now had a lot of coins stuck in my Coinomi wallet. I then had to research how to recover them, download wallets for each coin, and transfer coins into said wallets before sending to an exchange. I'm actually still working on this, but the coins are worth enough to allow it to take up some time. It has been a learning experience though and I've learned a lot about how crypto wallets work and also about how these wallet "services" work. I'll probably never leave that much coin in a wallet service ever again though.

In all fairness, the only reason I did it in the first place was because Bittrex kicked out NY customers and I needed a safe, quick solution to store the coins off exchange. They were all trading positions I wasn't quite ready to sell. At this point, I'm really happy I waited. Just disappointed I didn't keep a better eye on them in the wallet. Had I known they were getting delisted from Coinonmi it would have saved me a lot of work today!

To top this all off I do web design as a side hustle. One of my clients is a contractor who owns housing developments. He got a hold of me just as the market started rocking and rolling and needed some upgrades to his website along with some consulting work. His latest project is a high end Executive Building featuring all the latest in Alexa compatible smart home devices. He wanted me to help put a demo suite together to show potential clients. I had no experience with this and told him that, but he convinced me to help him so I've been learning about smart plugs, smart thermostats, ring doorbells and just about anything else you incorporate into a compatible Alexa Echo Show. Fun project, but took up way more of my time than I wanted it too. That whole project is close to completed now, and I should have that completely off the table by the end of the week! That's going to free up A LOT of time!

So that's where I'm at right now. I'm hoping by next week I can start getting back to my regular posting of at least a few posts each week. I've still been checking in a couple times a day trying to make comments, re-hive some posts and issue some votes.

I do have some content in the works with an exchange review and also some commentary on what's happening with several projects in the space like DeFi, Ethereum, Bitcoin and some of the older shitcoins not many people are paying attention to currently. I've also got some guitar stuff to post soon too.

How has the bull run been treating you? Staying busy? Any fun crypto projects you see floating under the radar? Would love to hear your thoughts and comments.

Wow, you definitely have been busy! That sucks about the coins not being supported anymore. I have never used that wallet, but I will be sure to avoid it. I bought my first set of smart plugs the other day. I don't use Alexa because I don't want her listening in on me :), but the plugs themselves are pretty awesome. I have one setup on a string of lights that would otherwise be difficult to reach. It has been really awesome. Good luck getting everything sorted out and hopefully things slow down for you at some point. Or not, if you dig the hectic lifestyle thing :)

Thanks man!

I'm a bit apprehensive about Alexa myself. I call it the Amazon wiretap. I will admit though, they really are fun devices to play with. I'm not sure if I'll ever have one inside my house either, but then I can justify because I'm guessing a smart phone is pretty much listening all the time anyway. IDK. These are strange time we're living in!

The Coinomi wallet is actually a pretty cool wallet. They give proper notice when they're delisting coins, I just wasn't paying attention. For the most part, towards the end of that bear market I wasn't trading or anything. Just watching and waiting on the sidelines and forgot all about those coins. 🤣

I didn't realize until I went to dump my DOGE and seen all the closed wallets. So far I've got 2 coins recovered and working on a third. The rest of them are really small positions so I'm not sure if it's even worth it, but who knows. I have to import each privatekey though then rescan the chain for the balance to register in my wallet for Myriadcoin. OKcash was the easiest, I just had to enter my seed phrase. Feathercoin I think is the last, I was having problems getting that wallet running, so that will be this weekends project!

Cheers man! Thanks for reading and commenting.

Yeah, I think you are right about the whole smartphone thing. I am probably just being silly, but I don't know if I can take that step yet. I think I've got some OKcash somewhere.

Not silly, smart. I can't blame ya. I'm pretty much the same way. We all tend to sacrifice too much privacy for convenience. It's a cute toy, but I think I could probably live without it also. 😇

I just keep an eye on the $Hive price :) I did get some CUB that I have staked and earning something. I really don't understand how it all works, but will take what I can get.

I'm watching Hive closely too.

That DeFi stuff is pretty confusing to me as well. Congrats on the CUB! I might mess with a little of that when I finally try to figure out this DeFi stuff.
