Resolutions 2022

It's that time of year again. Time for New Year resolutions. Resolutions are great when you complete them, but can leave you feeling a bit unfulfilled if you don't. For the most part, last year I completed most of mine with the exception of weight loss and get a job. LOL

I'll start with my resolution accomplishments. Entering 2021 I was still hodling a huge crypto mess from the 2018 market crash / reversal. One of my goals for 2021 was to clean up that mess. For the most part, I'm happy to report that I did clean that portfolio disaster up. Not only did I clean it up, with the current price of bitcoin almost everything was sold off at a gain! I've still got a few of those bags, but as far as I'm concerned, the investments have been covered, profits taken, positions closed. The Dood's a happy man! If there was one thing on my list of resolutions that was a top priority it was that!

I also met and exceeded my Hive and LeoFinance goals. For 2022 I'll be increasing my focus on all things Hive related! I plan on focusing on Hive as my main social media account.

Goal 1 - Hive First

For my first goal of 2022 not only do I want to focus more on Hive based social media, I want to take a Hive first approach to social media. Yes, Twitter and YouTube and other social sites are good to promote Hive. I get that. For the time being, it looks like were stuck with these propaganda giants of social media. Still, while we grow I plan on trying to spend more time here than on traditional sites. YouTube, Twitter and other mainstream social sites will be coming second to d.buzz, 3Speak, and Peakd!

I'll be posting more about traditional social media throughout 2022. It honestly disgusts me and I feel it's the scourge of our times! That's off topic though and a story for another day.

Goal 2 - Weight Loss

Yup, this was one of last years resolutions. I'm sad to report I failed miserably. Maybe failed miserably is a bit harsh. I maintained my weight, lost a few pounds, but was nowhere near dropping the amount of weight I wanted to lose. I'm a little bummed about this one.

My weight loss goal for 2022 is going to be a little different. I don't do good with diets! I hate diets. I do good with physical fitness and healthy or clean eating. My goal for 2022 is to eat healthier and exercise more. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow, I'd like to drop 50 lbs as a loose goal. My main focus however will be jogging at least 1 to 3 miles a day at least 5 days a week and eat healthier, cleaner food at least 5 days a week. I'd also like to throw in a few juice fasts. I have to lose this weight. It's really bothering me. Hopefully 2022 will be the year I do that!

Goal 3 - Travel

This one has to happen for me this year. I'm not sure where I'm going but I'm taking at least 5 decent motorcycle trips this year. One of last years resolutions was to be able to start traveling, and I think I've achieved that financially last year. This year is to start planning AND TAKING some motorcycle trips! Not sure about destinations yet, but I'm getting out of town and out on the highway!

Goal 4 - Grow Something Outside of Crypto - Secondary Revenue Stream

One of my goals last year was to get a job in 2021. It's not so much that I needed one, but I was getting tired of dipping into my trading nut. When the market turned super bullish in 2021 getting a job didn't seem logical. I was literally making more money sitting at home selling jpgs and trading shitcoins. I started cleaning up my mess from 2018 and took on a couple new shitcoin positions to trade. Things worked out well. I REALLY want a second source of revenue though. I hate completely relying on crypto as income. Well, actually I love it, but I'd be more comfortable knowing I don't have to rely on it entirely. In 2022, I want to figure some additional revenue streams outside of the crypto markets!

Goal 5 - Get Organized

Here's another big one on my to do list. I need to get everything in my life in order. I need to get organized. Part of my procrastination with so much stuff is probably due to how disorganized I am. It definitely hinders me. 2022 is going to be all about organizing my home and my personal life.

I'm really trying understand this crazy world we live in. Lately I've been reading a lot about different forms of government. Currently I've been focusing on anarchy and self sovereignty, but I also want to learn more about traditional forms of government like democracy, socialism, communism, and all the other isms... I'm not looking to switch ideologies or anything, I'm just trying to make sense of why the world is the way it is. In 2022 I'd like to read at least one or two interesting political books per month.

Well, that does it. For the Tweeted version... "Focus on Hive first, lose weight, start traveling, get a secondary source of income, organize my home life and read more!"

Easy peasy right? We'll have to see what the year brings. Fingers crossed. I'll follow up in 2023!
