Discovering the Joy of Music: A Journey with the Finalists Choir.

It is very important that you know the basics of music before you are able to handle it the way you are supposed to. Music can actually be sung even if you do not know anything about it, but the manner in which you approach it will certainly differ the way you deliver the song's presentation. Over the years, I have learned that nobody is too old or too young to do music, but to make this happen, you have to have a certain understanding.

Yesterday, I was summoned by my choir master, who happens to be a finalist, and it is expected that as a student, once it is the last day of the session, when most of the finalists are leaving their posts and handing over to some new sets of executives, they will do a ceremony that will involve a series of music renditions, and the lots of people will come around to witness them do music in full.

After I was summoned, he told me to come for the last rehearsal, which they did yesterday, and today will be the presentation of what they have been rehearsing for so long. I didn't hesitate and went straight to church to assist them musically. When I got there, I was not happy with what I saw, and that was because the time that was given was not kept, and none of the finalists were available until after 2 hours from the normal time.

Finally, the rehearsal started and from the first instance, I was not pleased, and I went directly to the music director about how it was so. He said it was because some of the finalists are not a musical people, and they have to blend with them. In a nutshell, we proceeded and managed whatever they were doing, but within me, I was saying that I was not expecting something good from what they were going to present today.

After about 5 hours of rehearsal, we all went home to rest for the big day. The ceremony started on a lighter note, and it was looking okay because they had the support of the main instrumentalist of the church and the engineers coming to their rescue. When it was time for rendition, the first thing they did was okay, but I was saying within me that they could do more.

When it was now time for the main event I was waiting for, I played the amapiano loop I got for them, and it all started, and I sat back to watch. After they finished the rendition, it was wao, and I was very impressed. It blew my imagination. Immediately after they finished, they came to me and asked how their performance was, and I said it was awesome and better than the one they did yesterday.

Though, it wasn't as good as the main choir will do, it is still better knowing that they are not a choir but just being managed because they were finalists and they needed to do it. In the end, I came to the conclusion that music is actually a good and a fun thing to do. Perhaps you have the zeal and charisma to do it.
