The Irony of Unequal Rewards: When Laziness Triumphs Over Hard Work.

An irony of life is when you do not believe something can happen, and it finally does. Something like this happened recently, and that is why I used this illustration first. What happened that brought about this? Going for my daily activity, you will meet some different sets of people, both those that are willing to work and those that do work with levity. You will sometimes see some that work with all their energy, and what they get as a reward is very minute, despite the ability they used to earn money.

But the reverse is the case when you see some that do not apply much effort, and they are able to earn even more from what they do. This is what I refer as an irony of life. But to what happened, while I was going for my activity, I have some ladies and some guys which we work together to ensure we do not do too much before we accomplish our daily task. Because it is not easy when you are the only one working and trying to achieve a goal.

We have a lady among my team who does not do anything; in fact, she is very lazy to work, and she gives excuses for not working, and most people get annoyed with her for that because they are doing the work of two people together. Even when they shout at her, she won't still be remorseful instead, she will feel so reluctant to do anything.

We have supervisors that come in once in a while to check our activities, and then they grade us based on how we work. The funny thing that keeps amazing me is that on this very day, the supervisor was a bit annoyed about the way we have been working lately, and he was harsh at us. But when he came in, he said this lady was doing something that had been done by someone, and immediately he concluded that this lady had been the only one working since he was around.

Every one of us could not shout, and neither did we want to be antagonists. We had to just keep mute, and later we explained why things went that way, but he had to later explain to him that the lady he commended was the one giving us problems, but he had already applauded her, and that has stood already. After he left, we all screamed at her, and we all spoke our minds because she had just been using us, and she wanted to get the glory of what she did not do, which is not possible. Sometimes we labor, and we do not get the rewards of our labor, and it's just a simple thing we would do and get a better reward from it. An irony of life.
