There’s more background information in our previous (introductory) post.

As a team who’s primary goal is to help talents reach their full potential and success, we are organizing our first event for our first project to give him the exposure and promotion and help him build audience in our 4000-student university campus.

Our first project is a YouTube content creator with a screen name ROMACOAY. He is from Tamale, in the northern region of Ghana. He creates content around fun and interactive games including street quizzes, challenges and contest, and a touch of his own unique content style.
We have chosen to work with him because we have seen how he loves what he does; he has been consistent amidst challenging circumstances; he has gone out of his way from having an introverted personality to going outside and approaching people to create content. We have also received so many nice comments about him from respectable people.
But these are not really very unique qualities to make one want to invest their life in someone as most content creators have these qualities.
This is the part that actually makes us want to invest our life in him. Get this. Where he’s from (his region(one of 16 of the country)), he is among the very few if not the only one who does what he does. We believe we can help him rally his whole region behind him as his community, his audience and fan base, and this would in turn give him a high demand for advertisements. With a strong community/fan base, there is unlimited ways to generate revenue.

Since he is still in school, we need to find a way to get the whole campus behind him. We need to figure out a way to create a fan base for him in his campus.

What better way than to organize a party on-campus in his name, and invite the whole school to come free of charge?! Since the campus barely have any parties, we are psyched this particular party will see maximum attendance. If not for anything at all, the promotion we have given it including all the freebies from our sponsors should fetch us a good amount of attendance. Party attendees will be encouraged to support the creative talent for whom the party was organized by subscribing to his channel.

We are organizing a pre Val’s day party for him. We had planned this event for Valentine’s Day but had learned later on that the student leadership of the school was also planning an event for the same date. This made us shift our date 3 days backwards to the Saturday before Valentine’s Day. Thinking about it, it is actually better this way since it’s on the weekends the students don’t really have anything going on to find excuses not to attend. Weekends are best days for parties anywhere.
Valentine’s Day would be on Tuesday which would have been really difficult and unpredictable that we’ll get the students to show up. They would be tired from attending classes that day while at the same time preparing mentally and physically for the class the next day.
We learned later on that the event which was to be organized by the student leadership of the school was not going to come off again but that did not mean we were going to push it to Valentine’s Day again. The Saturday is perfect!

Promotion

We want to stand out and do things not only differently but better than it has been done on the campus. We recognized that they don’t make banners for events like parties in the school. They only design flyers and share on their social media platforms. With this, we made it a point to print our flyers into banners. And not just 1 but 2!

On Tuesday 31 January our first flyer was ready. We had planned to get it printed out in a banner and displayed on Tuesday but had a delay from the designer.

We could not do the printing on Tuesday. We called the man at the printing press and he had already closed at around 7PM. We did not expect him to close that early but he gave an excuse and said he lives far from the shop. Some of such kind of printing presses stay as late as 10PM.
The next day Wednesday, we couldn’t wait for him so we went to another printing press that actually had a better price! They offered a larger size and an amount almost the same the first one who had a smaller size. We gladly went ahead and waited as the banner was printed.

After patiently waiting for what took like forever the first banner was done! We printed 2 banners. One displayed at the school entrance and one displayed at the venue of the event.

We rushed to the campus and to the entrance where they normally post banners and we posted ours there. We did ask permission from the security post first.
After pasting the first one at the entrance we decided to go and rest and paste the second one in the evening because the sun was scorching and we were also tired from the day’s activities.

We had went the previous day and checked the venue. The venue is one of the school hostels of the school. The hottest party destination of the school. They have a reputation for hosting the hottest parties. Where better to host ours!!

Conclusion

There is a lot more to be shared with you but in order not to make this particular blog too long the rest will be shared in a later post.

Dear well wishers, kindly delegate some hive power to us to help us share our journey with you.

We would appreciate donations in HBD as it will go a long way to help make this event a successful one.

All pictures we taken with our phone iPhone 6s Plus or made by our designers

Thanks for stopping by. See you in our next post.
