Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today is the day where you, better be wearing green! If not, we will find you. And we will pinch you. Assuming you're Scottish or Welsh or Irish or American or just celebrate a holiday anyway because it's inherently fun to do with your friends and fam.

The holiday itself, is named after some old Catholic Saint named Patrick or something but is widely celebrated by Irish-Americans as a day of feasting. This because, over a million hopped on boats and sailed over to America to escape the Great Potato Famine in 1845.

Where the pinchy pinchy came in, I have no idea. How it got associated with frig'n leprechauns? I have no idea. And where in the world did that rainbow and the pot of gold come from? Yes, let's totally create a holiday where you have to give each other bruises if they don't wear green and look for giant iron cauldrons at the ends of rainbows.
