yeah it's really beautiful!
We also have a natural park not far from us but we only attempted to go there once, while we just pinpointed the middle of the park (stupid us) while we should have figured out which beach we'd wanted to check as apparently, there are some real nice hidden gems that are hard to find without directions..

Hoping to convince my boyfriend to check it another time soon :)

That sounds fun! Those hidden gems are secrets often known best by the locals. I hope you find someplace awesome. I really miss being in the Caribbean with so many beautiful secret gems to visit...

How was your day?

For sure! I recently found out there is an actual park where you can use public barbecues in the big city. We really miss that and in Budapest they had some of these in a huge park, which was quite fun. So now at least this summer, we can head out there to have a nice bbq moment :)

My day was packed with paperwork stuff but the good thing is, it felt like a Friday and I thought some stuff was not done this week, at least there's Monday again.. then tonight I realised I have another day to try and get it done this week :)

How was yours?

I hope you get some good rest tonight and finish up all that wonderful paperwork....

Public barbeques in the park sound great. You little one will love that! I do miss Spain, with any luck I can make a trip over again in the not too distant future!

It's sad that we have a communal garden and they don't allow us to bbq in there. I mean, I understand some rules should be set, for example on the part with stones and not the grass but come on. It's not even that big of a flat so we can all agree on how to handle it but it's really not allowed, sadly. I was looking forward to having those here.

The most important thing is, we have a pool and it will be open this summer (there were talks about swimming pools not being allowed to open this summer, so I was a bit nervous about it).

The pool will make our summer so much more enjoyable and less hard to deal with during the heat waves in July and August.

I bet if I'd live in Florida, I'd prefer the sea but the beaches here are shit, I hate it so I don't love going there. A pool is better :)

Good night, I'm off to bed now. One more morning to get up for the school drive, and then I can sleep in a bit for a week haha.

Pools are much more convenient too. Going to the beach is a bit of an effort, then you have sand to deal with in the car after... I must be getting old and cranky!

I can't believe they don't have a barbeque area near the pool. That's too bad. But at least the pool should make up for it!

Good night!

I agree, I really thought that living at the coast would make me want to go swimming there every single day. Until I found out pictures are not always what they seem and the beaches clearly weren't as sandy as I thought from checking online. If only I'd known, we'd ended up at another area for sure but there must be a reason we ended up here!

To be fair, at least now we can walk to the beach rather than having to look for a parking spot during tourist season which is much better.. I prefer having that in the garage over parking at the boulevard with tons of tourists.. I've never loved the sand in my slippers or sandals haha, not even when I was young. Pools are just way more convenient, especially if you can just wrap a towel around your waste and get the elevator up to take a shower :)

The non-bbq policy probably comes from people not cleaning up after themselves, being selfish pricks with loud music etc as to be fair, most people just throw out the trash on the streets rather than walking 10 meters to a bin. It's common practice here, so it would not surprise me that after some hefty bills to clean up stuff, the community voted against it?

Definitely going to try the ones in the park in a month or so to see if that's a nice spot. Better than nothing!

I hate litter bugs! People should throw their trash in the bins....

It's nice you have the pool. It's a shame the beaches aren't too nice, but at least you are walking distance from the water. I have to drive to get there from where I live and then pay the meters for parking... It becomes a pain!

How are things going?

Oh you wouldn't even believe the things they dumped next to our building in the other home. We found out when our first rescue cat escaped in a deep hole and we had to try and get her to go into the carrier and then lift her up 10 meters or so. People dumped their whole furniture in that hole rather than putting it next to the garbage where it's picked up for free either by gypsies or the government .. Can't even comprehend why people would do that!

Oh the meters are a pain, thankfully, these are free here.. Yes you can go for a paid garage as well at the harbour but it's so small and with summer nights definitely full.. better to walk the bit from home instead..

Besides everything I already shared earlier, ok now lol.. I also won 100 Hive, will drop a post about that in a bit.. so that was a nice positive thing today!

How about you?

Tired but doing OK! Congratulations on the Hive win, that's awesome!

I can't believe people are so lazy, but I noticed that when I was in Spain last too. Happens in the Caribbean too sadly...

Walking distance is nice, I wish I were, but here anyplace on the water or really close goes for crazy money. $5 million and up !
