Weekly HSBI and DUO Token Giveaway, Week 68!

Hello everyone! I usually publish this on Sunday, but this week I have down with COVID round 2. Needless to say it sucks and I haven't felt up to even getting the post completed until today. Sorry for the delay, but the prizes all got sent out on Sunday.

The this morning disaster struck. My post I had started on Sunday magically vanished along with the wheel of names results. Fortunately I had sent the prized out so I found them that way. This past week there were 49 contest participant, getting close to the record of 52!

The whole purpose of the giveaway is to give back to the Hive community that has helped me grow my account over the last couple of years. It's good to see people growing their accounts, and I'm glad to be of some assistance!

As the number of participants has increased I've been adding prizes and bonus spins to make it more likely that everyone will have a chance to win. I want to take a moment to thank @alohaed and @beelzael for being kind enough to sponsor some HSBI prizes for the winners of the regular spins number two through five. I really do appreciate your support!

Having never been to Japan I couldn't tell you much about it. The pictures have always looked beautiful and I've wanted to visit. I do know a few Hive users who live there like @dbooster and @boxcarblue . Doesn't that picture look amazing? Who wouldn't want to make that trip?

Hawaii has always been a popular tourist destination. Ironically, I've been pretty much everywhere in the the Caribbean, but never made it to Hawaii. I had an uncle who lived there part time and my cousin keeps wanting to move there. Maybe if he does I can go visit and crash on his couch. His wife would love that, not... One of these days I may yet make it to Hawaii too!

The Giveaway

I will be giving out one prize of five (5) HSBI. Second and Third prizes will be 1.5 DUO tokens, the token I recently launched with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman . It offers those who stake sufficient tokens daily curation on quality posts, dividends, and a tipping bot. It also helps to onboard and retain new Hive members. At the end of the post there is a link to the white paper and where to purchase the tokens. Fourth prize is 100 BBH tokens. Fifth prize will be 250 CCD tokens. Sixth prize is 10 ARCHON tokens. To participate you need a reputation level of at least 25 and bots cannot win. And please one entry per person to make it fair to everyone.

I currently have sponsors who also kick in some HSBI units to the second, third, fourth, and fifth regular spin winners. None on the bonus spins. The sponsors can still enter the giveaway, however, if they happen to win on one of the spins they sponsor I will re-spin the wheel for another winner. You can't sponsor HSBI units to yourself!

Choosing the Winners

All valid entries will be placed on the Wheel of Names and I will spin it four times. The first prize will be 5 HSBI units. The second and third prize will be 1.5 DUO tokens. Fourth prize will be 100 BBH tokens. Fifth prize will be 250 CCD tokens. Sixth prize will be 10 ARCHON tokens. And since I am spinning the same wheel four times in a row it is theoretically possible for the same person to win all four prizes! Although I have yet to see it happen, maybe this week?

My preferred mode of transportation is and has been for a very long time; dirt bikes.
getting where ever it is you go dusty and full of adrenaline. possibly also sweaty, muddy and so on.

If I could fly myself I would choose that, but as I can't, I'll say it depends how far I will go. If it's really far, by plane, if it isn't that far, by car.

Re. question of this week my favorite way to travel is by metro, whenever I can. Rome doesn't have a very extensive subway systemb unfortunately and it is usually overcrowded, but when possible, whether for short or long trips, I use it.
I avoid traffic, it's more sustainable than the bus, and I enjoy sitting and being gently rocked by the motion of the train.

Plus, I live near one of the terminal stations, so I always find a seat, and there's signal even underground: I put on my headphones, listen to music on YouTube, sit down, and read a good book.

And for half an hour, I forget the world and suddenly I'm on the other side of the city.

My favorite is still the regular bike. Good old muscle power, combined with smart engineering, fresh air and a little bit of work out, all in one. Has its limits, as everything, but still - for the little town I live in, it's perfect.

Generally I would prefer the car. But if the public transportation system (like train, bus, …) would be better in Germany I would definitely use them more because it is comfortable.

Ugh, I hate it when posts disappear like that. It's the worst and I seldom have the motivation to recreate my witty candor a second time! I started using hackmd.io just to be safe. It allows for markdown and it keeps stuff pretty safe in a pinch.

It was frustrating, I nearly didn't redo it because I'm still far from 100%. But I figured it's almost Sunday already. I'll have to check hackmd.io . I'm going to have to buy a new mouse too, this one is double and triple clicking. Time for a much needs new one!

Road trip! By car is my favorite way to travel because I'm in control of my own agenda! Often it takes a plane to get me to my destination, but once I am there I prefer exploring in my own car.

I actually enjoy driving. It’s other people on the road that i don’t like. But I have no problem driving for hours. So truck or car is my answer.

I've done that a few times, from the Jersey Shore to Santa Monica. Fun driving when you are younger, as you get older the long drives aren't as much fun! Back at you with an HSBI!

Well, my favorite is the cable car, especially in the evenings! Not so fast, anywhere you're seated, you get the cool breeze, especially during summer, and winters are a blast! I remember caroling the streets of San Francisco during Christmas... unforgettable!

I prefer to drive in my car. When it's far away for vacation I take an airplane. Occasionally I would take a train but it's often to loud and sometimes smelly.

Back in Bangladesh, I prefer public transport (bus) for a long-distance journey. For a short distance, a battery-driven autorickshaw is preferred!

In Oman, as I have a car, I use it all the time ;)

Happy 4th of July!
I was a bit worried about you but did see you had powered up on the first so figured you were still in the land of the living!

I am like an ex-smoker (well I am one of those haha) in so far as having worked in the oil industry now I am all in favour or eliminating as much as possible our footprints!
Public transport for me no since Covid all the way.
Boats are my favourite, give me a ferry any day!

It really depends. I live in a country where the public transport is amazing, and since I live in a pretty central area, I prefer the train to driving. Ironically, driving usually takes me more time during peak hours.

I'll recommend having an external note where you can type your contents.

I usually just put it in Ecency and it autosaves. My mistake was I let it go over a day or two without saving a draft so it vanished. I'm looking at some options to make my work more protected from glitches.

My preferred mode of transportation is definitely the plane, if I’m on a plane I’m going on holiday (obviously not so nice on the way back but we’ll ignore the return flight!), although if we could skip airports it would be a much better experience!

Hopefully you will feel better soon, I can still remember very well how I felt having Covid, it was totally different and much worse than anything else I experienced at the time.

Second: The answer to your question. In my town I mostly do all my ways on my bicycle. All the places I want to reach can easily be reached in not more than 30min. I'm faster with my bike and don't need to wait for the public transport.
