Let's Play Resident Evil Village - Rooftop madness to the floor
Rooftop is fun and madness before I get back to the floor
With the new sniper rifle weapon in hand and ready to be fired upon whatever is out there, no doubt a whole lot of flying creatures to test my shooting skills, I took the steps out and looked around.
But as I got to the last few steps before being outside, the flying creatures and four of them, had shown up and I was about to have some shooting practice!
It started off with using the handgun which allowed me to get the upper hand on two of them from a safer distance by the room, then as the other two dipped out of sight and then came back up, before diving for me, I had pulled out the shotgun to destroy them both. Quite a few handgun bullets and some misses were had with the first two, but boomy shotgun had no trouble at all.
The sniper rifle is quite fun and allows killing or hurting things from far, before they can even get anywhere close to me as it was seen with this flying creature. I shot it dead, long range sniping and the other one followed before I admired the beautiful views of the castle from the rooftop area.
I had some of these creatures get hits onto me which brought my health down lower and into the orange.. only had the one lot of meds to heal up with and it was as good a time to use it, in case I had god knows what else to come further on among the rooftops or nearby castle areas. But I held off for the moment while bracing to use it should I get hit another time.
Now though I had killed off the last of the flying creatures, I believe, so I explored to loot up what I could between valuable items and the usual loot I can use to progress further.
There was a zipline down to another section and looked to be where I should head next. Some vases near it were smashed and some more Lei was collected, before I took this zipline down and managed to find the third mask required for those statues.
Now the mask was mine and nothing was left up here to loot or kill, I headed down the lift I found before, to see what I could find.
It leads back down to that lift found early on as you just enter the castle, that you couldn't use. But the worst part is I ran into Lady Dimitrescu once more, almost being killed this time and needing to quickly heal on the go as I ran and got away from this evil wench!
The running continued until I got to the safe room with the typewriter to save the game. After which I checked out how much I will earn from the new items that are valuable and can be sold.. 13400 Lei I get for the three of them and it comes in handy.
This allowed me to purchase the upgrade to my inventory so I could hold more which will come in handy, along with the recipe for sniper ammo and then upgrading the sniper rifle ammo capacity, so it can hold an additional two bullets.

The rooftop was a fun little adventure, one of the best in the entire game IMO. I didn't find the sniper rifle to be very useful just in a general sense since in this game you are very rarely in a situation where you can see your enemies from afar. If there ever is a point that this will be the case it is telegraphed to you by putting a platform somewhere ... "oh, i wonder what this very convenient vantage point that leads to nothing else is here for?"
Shotgun all the time!
I have found some spots with where I am atm, where something is not up close and I can use the sniper to kill them and lessen the fight to come.
It is strong too, worth still using and then the other guns up close.
