Lone Madman in the Apocalypse - Surviving the Fallout 4 Wasteland - Part six
Seeing the Doctor before Arcjet
All of this fighting and dying, the constant threat of disease and poor health has led to Arghrash coming down with something which requires antibiotics. But he had no idea where would be the best place so he thought about something someone once said.. they got fixed up in the small community town of Covenant, though it wasn't known what type of fixed up was meant by it so he tried anyway.
"What brings you round to Covenant? Have not seen you before" Swanson said with suspicion.
"Just visiting in the hopes of buying some medicine if there is a doctor or trader, also to look around and meet some new people" Arghrash replied.
Swanson got him to sit down and take a test before he would allow entry, it was unusual but agreed upon. It took a few minutes of random questions and the response in the situation, but once completed, Swanson agreed to let Arghrash in.
"Alright time to find me a doctor or if someone is selling some antibiotics. If I can afford two then I will be sure to get both so I don't need another trip back anytime soon" he claimed before speaking to a few people, leading him to Doctor Patricia.
She cured his health with some medicine before accepting to trade and what did she have? Well two lots of antibiotics, perfect for Arghrash to buy. It was costly though so selling the fusion core and a couple other bits helped reduce the cost.
"Thank you Doc for the help, this will tie me over for a while yet until the next visit" he claimed before heading back out from Covenant.
Traveling on the other side of the lake behind Covenant held a small farm with a feral ghoul roamer now easy to kill off, a small stack of bottlecaps and and pistol rounds were a nice find but nothing else in this location, that was of interest.
With a quick stop of at base to drop off the heavier items and things not needed right now so he could carry more, Arghrash headed to Cambridge Police Station which held the Brotherhood of Steel members, though he didn't plan to align with them only work on getting supplies and perform some quick jobs.
He helped take out the feral ghouls that were attacking and was able to score some nice supplies inside after being offered a job, helping out Paladin Danse at Arcjet. This means Arghrash now had additional ammo, explosives and more that was available inside.
The road to Arcjet still got dangerous when confronted by a group of people like raiders and caravan guards fighting which gets you involved and needs a molotov to chunk at their health, the loot was great though!
Inside Arcjet in the first major part where you get into a fight, there are Synth's attacking you which become quite troubling due to the damage of their weapons and not being behind Paladin Danse and his protective power armour as a shield.
This leads to a death of our Madman due to not being careful. "You will pay for this you filthy robot scum" claimed Arghrash before the final blow got him.
After another shot and dying by molotov fire and Synth attacks, he managed to pass this first area without dying or burning like he did to them, to move on and take out more Synth's while they focused fire on Danse. This was good progress in completing this mission, gaining valuable experience and loot at the same time.
"Why hello there you ugly bloody thing, I don't think I will end up keeping you but I bet you get a fair price from a trader somewhere" he said when finding the Junk Jet weapon near the control room, downstairs.
Danse waiting by and got attacked by a lot of Synth's which looked like quite the struggle.. Arghrash took the opportunity to activate the switch which fired up a huge heat wave of energy, fired to high temperatures which killed the Synth's easily, Danse was saved by the power armour luckily.
Up the top of the elevator and into the control goes the two brave and tough guys, taking out the last of the Synth's to get the deep range transmitter they were looking for and getting out the hell hole of a place.
Once they were safe outside and got to talking, the Righteous Authority weapon and 50 fusion cells were given as a reward, something that would really boost the strength of Arghrash's damage and handling of situations to come. It is a beast of a laser gun and he couldn't be happier!
Paladin Danse offered him to join the Brotherhood of Steel, Arghrash was likely to refuse but for now said he wasn't sure. At least there is a chance to still do some missions but he doesn't want to be relying on anyone, only himself.
