Looking for help from powerful allies and clearing threats to them
Forge Knights and mercenaries roam Defiance Bays buildings
Inside the Crucible Keep when going to turn in a mission, this was delayed by the mass fighting going on between the Forge Knights and Crucible Knights.
The party strolled on in and started attacking the Forge Knights who needed to be stopped for their betrayal, they had some nice abilities and got in some nice hits at times. Of course some Justicars would attack the group thinking they were an enemy, so they became targets too.
"Don't stop until we clear out all Forge Knights and make this place safe again" announced Pallegina as they unleashed the devastation. Of course in one part in a tougher fight, the party all lost health with some getting below half and making it a closer battle of strength and spells... Until it ended in the favour of our badass adventuring group of misfits!
After they cleared out the last of the Forge Knights and found Commander Clyver, they knew the place was safe again.
"We didn't understand the Forge Knights well enough when recruiting their help, even though we did our research into them. For now, it is back to the old-fashioned way of recruiting! Here, take these as you have earned it" said Commander Clyver as they finished up their conversation and he game worthy items to TheGoliath.
"Glad to be of service and I hope you can find some better recruits that won't betray you next time, be safe Commander" announced TheGoliath before leading the party out of the Crucible Keep.
The animancy hearings required a reputable source to gain access to it, of the three houses/groups that could get this access it was decided to go with House Doemenel. Upon a further chat it was the right choice, as they were in between, staying neutral so either of the other two parties would not gain an edge.
"House Doemenel would make the greatest ally in Defiance Bay, we could become a great ally of yours as well" claimed TheGoliath.
"So you want to gain access by worming your way into House Doemenel's good graces? Well you might be a worthy ally, should you prove yourself. Recover my note from the thieves and bring it back and I will consider your offer" announced Abrecan Doemenel before sipping on his wine.
While still in Defiance Bay there was another place to visit, many actually most of the time but today would be Purnisc's house. The guy seemed weird and had a lot of guards at the ready, so after paying a guard 100 copper by the stairs to be let up to the next floor, they got into a fight with some mercenaries waiting. So a quick killing session leads the party to the real Purnisc that mentions that the one downstairs, is a wizard impersonating him.
"Right, let's head down and kill that bastard then" said Eder before they all walked down the stairs and faced the imposter.
Due to the amount of guards and the strength to be faced in this battle, Pull of Eora was cast and lured in some enemies. "Perfect for my Twin Stones and Overwhelming Wave" Hiravias said as he cast those devastating attacks.
Nyrid tried to get out of his death and wanted to be left alone to go in peace, but it was too late for him, it was over and so was the battle.
After talking to Purnisc again to let him know the imposter was dead, a report came in about an attack coming in 4 days on the Caed Nua keep again.
"It seems these attacks keep frequenting the keep, maybe we should rest at the inn before the trek back for the fight because it could be a tough one" announced Kana, with everyone chatting about it on the way to the inn in preparation for the defence.
