Pillars of Eternity Part #21 - Death is around the corner for any enemy in the parties way
Gaining the Pull of Eora after claiming the heads of bounties
There was no better feeling than growth in the party as a whole and it was going to continue while searching for the Leaden Key and more information about them and their activity lately. Before that was carried out was a couple more big bounties which would prove useful for that experience and copper gain. The first bounty was for Sly Cyrdel's head.
"Charge! Off with that mans head!" shouted Hiravias as they went into battle.
Both sides were casting the big spells with there being fire everywhere, curses and so much more turning this into a mighty fight between two solid sides. Slowly but surely, after having to heal up the damage caused to them, the party took out some of the enemies in closer range before the wizards at the back, then finally the last one was Sly Cyrdel who was putting in the hard hits and did a lot of damage.
"Let's all have a nice, relaxing time after that fight. We still got to defeat Warchief Iklak before turning in the bounties" announced Pallegina before they stopped to have a rest.
That short rest made this fight more bearable for the party. They wouldn't be starting off with the lower endurance and chance of being hit hard by these spells... Pillar of Faith hit a few of them but barely did anything to most except Itumaak, the wolf companion of Sagani.
A fireball comes out as per usual, slamming onto the battlefield and doing some needed damage before Warchief Iklak cast Pillar of Holy Fire, doing some damage to Hiravias but this fight was on a lower level of strength, compared to the Sly Cyrdel fight and the party took the Warchief's head before heading back to the warden to turn in these two juicy bounties.
"We have all done well, these bounties really help us out both for copper needed at the keep treasury and the experience that keeps us growing in strength!" said TheGoliath as they received 2250 copper and another 4044 party experience for each bounty and this was enough to level TheGoliath, Kana and Pallegina.
Two new spells were gained for TheGoliath and really useful, strong spells. Pull of Eora is a black sphere that pulls all nearby enemies in multiple times through its pulses, causing an interrupt. The other is Dimensional Shift which switches locations with an ally, and allowing the shockwave to stun enemies caught in the line between them which could prove very helpful to swap positions with someone that can take more damage.
Kana gained Rime and Frost Followed the Footfalls of Karth phrase, which allows allies to leave a trail of frost behind them and damage enemies, great when moving around the battlefield or being chased.
Finally Pallegina gained Reviving Exhortation, allowing revival of an unconscious ally with a large, temporary boost to endurance to fight for a short time which could be useful in dire situations.
That black sphere was needing a test and over in Defiance Bay would be a great time as they were attacked by assassins while heading to turn in a quest.
Pull of Eora was cast right away and started to do work by interrupting the wizard assassin and another of the assassins. It allowed them to finish off two of the others before going to work on the two that got sucked into the vortex with Hiravias, showing just how useful of a spell it was and then they moved on to turn in a quest, because next step was going to be a big one to do with the Leaden Key.
