My weekend experience and my first post here #yeepee

Seated when my phone beeped. A WhatsApp message came in from the most unexpected person at that time. It was caramel chocolate. My friend who’s the art supervisor of retro africa. She was sending me an invite to the launch of > From Mali, with love. >

At first I wanted to decline the invite but it was at a suitable time and something to use as an excuse to escape some boredom so yeah why not. Lol.. besides we could also take some real nice photos. Well I love taking nice photos.

Considering it was on a Friday evening and I also have a leadership class the next day I said to myself I wouldn’t stay longer than a minute… literally meant longer than I should haha… I invited a friend who picked me up at a barbershop, because after dressing up and looking all cool i realize something was missing… yes that’s right a haircut….

After the haircut I looked in the mirror and sheepishly smile as I know I look quite good. Then off we go. On arrival we saw way too many cars than we expected parked outside the gate. We had to struggle for a parking slot, then finally after parking we took a walk into the building where we met with so many figures and celebrities. All glammed up and looking like angels from all angles.

I am sure I’m at the right place but why does it seem like I looked the more serious in this event…? Well I wore a simple slick off cooperate hoping it wouldn’t be too much but turns out I dressed a little too much which attracted people to be asking if I work there or if it was my event. Lol

I met some friends and we had some amazing time together. Took some really nice photos and videos.

What was so unsatisfying was how Almost everyone wants me to appear on their photo. I mean > You want to be famous until you’re famous. I was being haunted with a headache but then I didn’t wanna leave because I don’t wanna appear rude… so I stayed.

The beautiful art in retro africa was nicely curated and placed. It won many attentions. Of course it’s art… created to be admire right. I love art. After some time my friend almost ditched me before I left with her.

Next day on Saturday, I woke up anticipating this leadership fellow I am doing with a diverse group of folks around the world. We had an 8hour lecture and conversations around solutions and debates on how to coup existing global issues. This also distracted me from a lot of Saturday adventures. But I love it.

Guess what happened on Sunday? Lol

Slept all day… well not technically but I didn’t plan to, but sometimes you just can’t control it. You know those kinds of naps that comes to you unexpected are mostly the longest lol… when you intend to sleep, it hardly comes to the rescue, but when you don’t invite it, it tends to come with the saying “I love to come uninvited” grinning at you like the pool little fellow you are… lol

Hope you had a great weekend folks. Share a bit of yours with me ;)

I wonder why you write well generally and then use the word wanna?

It's not a word in the English language and only serves to detract from your writing. It's slang for the words, want to, used in speech when people's pronunciation is lazy...writing it that way just makes your post seem like a child wrote it.

The way you write represents you as a person so you should think about writing as best you can.

Thank you for the correction. I think I let my expressions get to my head. Promise to take notice. Thank you for reading.
