Snook moved toward Jack and Jamie. "What the fairy wings are you too looking at?"

Jack. "You need to see this for yourself."

Jamie. "Wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it. There must be a hundred of em over there."

Snook reached Jack and Jamie and looked toward the meadow entrance. Outside the entrance the sheriff was talking into his car radio. Mr Roper was shouting something which could not be heard, flaying his hands in all directions. Just inside the meadow was what could only be described as a herd of dogs patrolling the entrance. Not one dog was barking but a growl would come each time Mr Roper tried to gain entry to the meadow.

Sheriff Dingle gave a wave to Snook and returned to his radio.

Jack. "Was he laughing? Sheriff Dingle"

Jamie. "Dingle's not a bad sort. By the book though."

Snook. "I didn't know there were that many dog's around here."

Jack. "Here comes the media, that's a Hive News van there. is that small black and white tv still working Snook."

Snook. "I don't know. I never turned it on."

Jack. "Let's set it up and see what they are saying."

Jamie. "I'll follow you guys in."

Snook and Jack returned to the living room. "In the corner by the right of the fireplace. You set it up. I'm going to make a fresh coffee, that ones gone cold."

Jack brought the tv into the kitchen. It was small enough to fit on the table without taking up too much room. Plugging it in he said "Now to answer the big question."

Snook. "Whats that?"

Jack. "Will it come on when I hit the power button." "Well we have power. We might need something for an Athena. Got an old coat hanger, one of those metal ones?"

Snook. "Let me go look." Snook returned with a wire coat hanger, will this do?"

Jack. "Perfect." Jack began tuning the tv to find Hive news. "Ah there we go, I think that's the right station. Pictures not the best but the sound is okay. Almost one, the news should be on soon."

Jamie entered the kitchen. "I think the dog catcher just turned up."

Snook. "He'll have his work cut out for him. Fresh coffee Jamie?"

Jamie. "Sure, please."

Mr Actoo and Chichi entered the kitchen.

Mr Actoo. "If you wouldn't mind Jack."

Jack. "Mind? I'm at a bit of a loss."

Mr Actoo. "Lifting me up to the table."

Jack. "Oh sure." Jack lifted Mr Actoo to the table.

Jamie. "Surprised this feller didn't join the other's."

Jack. "The general doesn't go to the front line."

Snook. "The news is starting."

Silence fell into the kitchen and all eyes shifted to the small tv screen. The news began with no mention of the meadow and soon they were talking between each other again. At the suggestion of getting back to searching for the document in the library, the news caster said. "Next we have a special report from what is known the local children as Fairy Snook's Meadow, with Joe sharp on site." Silence took hold of the kitchen again.

"Joe sharp reporting from what could be a meadow near you. With me is Mr Roper. Mr Roper can you tell me what is going on here."

Mr Roper. "Farouche resorts has acquired this land for development of a new resort. A resort I might add that will bring tourism to this area and provide jobs."

Joe Sharp. "And this meadow is a key part to that development I understand."

Mr Roper. "It's essential. It's the ideal place for a casino hotel with swimming pools both indoor and out. It's key to the success of this project. Without it everything falls apart."

Joe Sharp. "Let me ask."

Mr Roper. "No, let me tell you. This what is going on here now, all these dogs. It's a set up to delay progress. The woman on this property refused to leave. We have an eviction order here, which we cannot proceed with because of these dogs."

The camera swung to show the dogs in the meadow.

Joe Sharp. "So you are saying the owner of the property put all these dogs here to prevent you gaining access."

Mr Roper caught site of the dog catcher. "Excuse me I have to speak to this man over here."

Joe Sharp. "That's one side of the story. We have not gained access ourselves to the owner, we are working on that. For now though we do have some children here. Let's hear what they have to say. With me here is Bliss, Indy and Dean. Tell me Bliss, what is your take on all of this."

Bliss. "That man over there. He want's to take away Fairy Snook meadow and build stuff on it."

Joe Sharp. "Fairy Snook meadow. Have you met Fairy Snook?"

Bliss. "Yes, and she gives us an apple every day if we want one."

Indy. "And Wizard Jack. He can do magic."

Bliss. "And Fairy Snook made me this flower crown."

Dean. "And she Fairy Snook does have picnic's."

Joe Sharp. "It seems Fairy Snook has some loyal supporters with you guys." In the background some commotion could be heard and the camera moved again to capture what was going on. Mr Roper was arguing with the dog catcher to do his job.

Mr Roper. "It's your job to get these animals out of here now do it."

Eric (dog catcher) "That might be so, but I do not have any place to put what looks like over 100 dogs. If you just wait they will go home when they get hungry."

Mr Roper. "A project like this cannot afford to wait. This land needs to be vacated. I'm calling your superiors."

Joe Sharp. "That's the scene down here at Fairy Snook meadow. Take our poll on the Hive blockchain. Tell us what you think."

Snook. "Well that was interesting."

Jamie. "Those three kids standing up for you was great."

Mr Actoo. "Would you mind to lift me down again Jack. I should get back to what I was doing."

Snook. "Oh yes the land document, I forgot all about that."

Tap Tap Tap.

Snook. "Who could that be?" Snook went to the front door. Three inquisitive faces looked up at her. Dean nudged Bliss to talk.

Bliss. "Fairy Snook, you won't let them take the meadow will you?"

Snook. "Well I will do my best to keep it the way it is."

Dean nudged Bliss again. "Can we have an apple Fairy Snook?"

Jack walked up behind Snook to give her some support. "Oh looks like you have things under control, I was thinking it might have been someone else." "I seen you guys on the tv, you were great."

Snook. "Would you grab these guys an apple from the tree jack?"

Jack. "Sure, I'll do even better. I'll let them pick their own."

Jack lifted each in turn and raised them over his head and let each pick an apple themselves.

As they walked away. Jack heard Indy tell Dean, "That's the wizard Jack." Dean turned his head to have a second look at Jack. Jack gave a wave and returned to the house.
