The capture there is misleading. He has no ambition to resurrect Jesus. Jesus is one chosen when asked to choose two people from history to converse with.
At 4 minutes 35 second he mentions Jesus in the temple story and what might Jesus think if he seen the world today. Carl Marx the second.

Now I have not watched past that point of the show. So whatever is said after is nothing to do with this post. I know not what contradictions lay ahead in the show. But on that Jesus in the temple story.

Not a biblical scholar. My understanding is that Jesus went into the temple to worship and there were tables with goods for sale. If in rage or dramatization. Jesus upturned the tables sending all the goods on sale to the ground along with the coffers of profit. Trader and money changer colluding together. A place of worship, overrun with corporate interest was consuming the temple. I do not know the story from that point. Looking at todays world. It seems he did not cleanse the temple.

My logic also tells me that people needed to trade back then too. I think part of the underlying message there is that commerce should not be part of all of our lives. Just like you do not want to work everyday. Money should also take a day off. Unfortunately, for the majority. Forgetting about money or the need for it for even one day is not an option.

Which temple would Jesus upturn the tables in if he was brought back to help society? Is there a better place than a temple to hold such demonstration. Would the impact be any different?

Could there be something more. Maybe the message is to change. Change how the things we do are done. The money exchangers and the traders. Again at this time in history they control every part of our lives. From everything we consume to everywhere we go.

Maybe there is nothing to the story. More than a recollection of an ancestors experience. Or maybe there is a forgotten message. Maybe the message is deliberately kept at bay.

Maybe there is much more and we listen to the story as a story. Not something that can transcend the passage of time.

Not being of the religious mind. (Though having a deep understanding of God and his meaning). I heed the story as a warning. A warning we missed and colluded blindly in bringing about.

Everything in this world has become about sides. The more sides there is. The greater the chance the side creating the sides has of controlling a majority. Everyone forgets the side of humanity. If a human has rights. That right extends to all humans. The rights of a minority group do not need to be highlighted. They already had those rights. That those in power fail until now to provide for the well being of a minority population. Is now laid at your feet in guilt. Propagandized so you will cover the cost and those who brought about this cost. Will profit.
