The Story Of A Sad Marriage

JKB

Hi There,

If one gives it time to unfold, RDR 2 is filled with interesting events. After solving the mystery of the guardian stone, it is time for me to roam around and find more stories, and events, hidden somewhere in this vast map. Most of such events are found where we expect the least.

Let's see what I found in this journey!

After solving the mystery, I went back to the guardian stone hill, to see if any change was happening there. But I saw a giant cloud vertical forming up, this is the cyclone!

I could see one intensified cyclone. I never thought that I would see this in RDR 2! Thankfully, I was on the heights as this could not be visible from the plains.

I stood there for a while, to let the storm pass away.

I rested a bit with my horse. We both were tired from mystery hunting.

Soon I heard a voice from the cliff.

I went to check there. The person was looking down.

I was wondering what he saw down there, that he had to call me.

A horsecart fell from the hill and was destroyed. I could see a person lying on the ground. The old man left to update the sheriff on this tragedy.

I went down to check the scene.

The person was no more alive nor was the horse. The entire wagon was turned into a wreck.

I went close to the person. I found a ring in his coat.

I looked around for more things to collect. I found this little box.

This was the entire wreck. Badly damaged and only this little box was in condition.

I opened the box to see for any collectibles.

I found this marriage certificate. The person was recently married to a girl and the date on the certificate was 18th May 1899. James was married to Miss Mildred Barr.

I found the address as well. They both married in West Elizabeth town. I believe this is where I can find her and tell her this sad news. It will be tough for me to disclose this message to her as she was married recently.

I will go to West Elizabeth and find her soon. I came across this lumbering site.

I visited this place in the past and it was a huge forest with a settlement for workers. But now the place is empty, all the trees are cleared.

Seems like they left a long ago. I helped the workers here to drive off the wolves that attacked them many times.

It had a trade stop as well from where they transported wood via rail network. This event shows how rapid was the development back in 1899.

When I saw this, I felt like I was playing GTA V, I paced up my horse to go on this ramp and make a fly! But my horse stopped aggressively, reminding me that she isn't a bike too and this isn't GTA V.

Anyway, I headed to the West Elizabeth. I want to cover the side quests that may come in the route.

And one came. Herb-man gives recipes for various medicines, boosts, revives, and poisons to upgrade the bow-arrow. What you can purchase from the fence store, you can learn all of that from him and make it.

This time he asked me to collect humming sage.

I had one already and I need to find one more. I went around the forest to look for the sage.

I ran up to the hills in search of the herb.

I found this giant rock. I don't know where it came from but it doesn't seem a part of this region. This was huge, as tall as a tree.

I get on my horse to speed up the search, it often takes time to find the herb as it is found in certain places and not everywhere. This small stall opens in the night. If you want to do an illegal trade, wait for the night.

I followed the stream to get to the plains easily.

I paced up my horse, unaware that there could be a waterfall too.

I fell in slow motion along with my horse! It reminded me that sometimes I am just too lazy to think.

A candid capture, isn't it?

My horse went down in the fall, and the stream was fast too. It was hard to get out of this flow but I managed to catch a rock and get back on foot.

I began to find an easier way to get to Elizabeth town. Rail lines are the best, no trouble!

I followed the rail line to the town, and this time I was fully aware of a train that could come from front. Not too lazy to think.

Yeah I forgot the real physic in this game. I wanted to do a splash with my horse in fall and my horse would start swimming like in movies.

The part of the carriage was funny when you took the picture showing your character from the front, it's as if he was actually posing to take a picture hahaha.

Poor man and horse, surely they were too distracted to fall like that, although it could have been that they were running away from something.

I found very interesting the theme of the mountain, the tunnel and the train's return, although the views of the mountain that you shared with us are totally astounding.

Oh, poor horse! But hey, that cyclone looks pretty cool, if a bit scary.... I'm already impatient to know what's going to happen at Elizabeth's wedding.
