Creating my first images with Midjourney

Several days ago I wanted to launch my new NFT collection, and it was when I saw that images produced by artificial intelligence, also called generative art, began to take off in the art industry that I asked myself: Should I try and launch a series of images of this type?

First of all, I introduce myself, my name is Eddy Campos and I am a graphic designer, mainly using the tools Blender, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create my works, although after having tested the bot-software Midjourney I have decided to undertake temporarily with this technology.

At first I didn't know what I could create with it and it was my first time using it, so I grabbed the online manual and started reading to understand how this Discord bot worked, until I understood that you could create images from text.

The first thing that came to my mind was to imagine a technologized and industrialized Cuba (country where I live), so I set it futuristically idealizing modern cars and smart cities but keeping that tropical emphasis of the island and one of the prompts I used was this one:

Prompt: havana city with cars flying and people happy and the people has mobiles in their hands

These were the four images generated, of which the first was the one I used for the cover of my collection called 'Generación' and in turn, as the first work of the same already available at Objkt marketplace.

This has been a new experience for me as an artist, and I think, in addition to being innovative, it will be fun to create images with this dynamic. 'La Revuelta' is the first of 35 works that will contain my new NFT collection, and you can find it now here.
