This is a well-constructed story, @kristowe. The theme of a curse is familiar, as is the theme of an ever-repeating day. However, you give these themes a new slant by combining them. Your action scenes are good. The part where the widow begs for mercy is particularly strong. You describe Desmond's distress well.
