Today Is A Gift

Despite the setbacks and struggles including the minor inconveniences of a given day, it is still a gift. A gift of today. Something we can hold on to for the moment. Something we have that can not be taken away from us. We make each day our own. It depends on us how we would make the day better and memorable and worth our time. How about you my friends, how is your day so far? You decide.

This is how I made this drawing

I already have my subject in mind so it is now easier for me to start my drawing with a background first. Here I am thinking about a rug which is the golden yellow in the middle. I will be putting my subject here later.

So, this is my subject. A cute and fluffy black cat. I made this in one quick go without edit. Let us wait how this will turn out.

Cats love to play with boxes but I decided that I will add a gift box instead. A gift waiting to be unwrapped. A few dots on the ribbon as a final touch made a whole lot of difference. Hope you like it.

This challenge as you can tell requires a ton of commitment as it literally involves creating one drawing for a whole year. Never fret if you miss a day or two just try to catch up or start on a day that you can. What matters most is you have fun with no pressure creating.
