Steem reliability failing since hard fork

I've been monitoring the Steem network for a while to get an idea of the downtime. Except for a few short periods of time, it has been pretty reliable. There were some issues over a year ago but has been pretty smooth sailing since.

Once Hard Fork 23 landed and Hive was created, the reliability of Steem has been in question. The nodes and the site are frequently down and unresponsive.

I believe part of this is when Steem goes in and modifies the code to censor anyone mentioning Hive. As you can see from the recent changes on GitHub Justin Sun is actively blocking posts and even entire user accounts.

All my years of work on the Steem blockchain completely erased because I made a post about Hive.

This was because of a ninja Terms of Service change made by Justin Sun to outlaw talking about any other blockchain or any other person, although it is only enforced when talking about Hive.

There is some other fuckery going on as well I am not completely sure of. Judging by all the previous actions, I can't imagine it is good for the future of Steem.

Hope we have the time to power down all the steem and the ability to withdraw them..I’m afraid the Blockchain is going to stop anytime soon 😥

Yeah I'm planning on doing the same, but I have to wait for an undelegation first. Hopefully steem price goes up a bit so I can get more hive.

Most major exchanges seem to have their STEEM wallet down right now.

A true dictator and he likes to talk about decentralization. What a joke of a person Justin Sun is. I'm curious about what the steem-engine team are gonna do on hive because all the transactions are on this chain anyway. Hive is also more reliable given the current witnesses.

I think it's mentioned that the team would have to make a Hive version since you can't just port everything over.

Yeah you're right and it would get quite messy.

A new steem-engine will be created for Hive due to legal reasons and it will be coming in mid-april according to @aggroed's last post.

How is he blanking out your entire post history on Steemit? Madness. Steem is no longer blockchain.

There is now a blacklist for specific posts and users that Justin disagrees and all their history will be invisible on Steemit.com.

Yeah, but that doesn't block you out completely. Other frontends like @steempeak will continue to show your work.

It is probably those damn hackers again. Got to feel bad for Justin. He was just trying to pump and dump. Bless his heart. 😂🤣

You should change your tag line on steem to “Came for the Steem, left for the hive”

Yeah, he definitely got screwed over by Ned, but he's making do with what he has, which is a spoonful of totalitarianism, two ounces of censorship and a cup of madness.

Sounds like Justin is ready to start his cooking community.

Hopefully the word spread rapidly throughout the crypto community.

Some of the crypto media sites picked up on the story a bit on Saturday. I hope that more do the same.

Step right up!

Watch Justin create the world's greatest shit show! Working very hard for a perfect track record... adding a new dapp (????) with no users. "Tron is awesome! Buy my shitcoin!"

The Steemit account had to upvote the Steemitblog posts to the tune of $350.00(!) to make them visible. That just happened.

I voluntarily grayed out my Steem accounts today... hoping to make it a trend...

It's getting a bit much keeping up with both chains from a voting and user-perspective. Like double-work.

I have noticed steemworld often having issues connecting lately and switching nodes. It's not as reliable as it once was.

I confirm that statement because a lot of times; the site was unresponsive!

It's really sad to see all your steem content gone, masses of it, create new chapters here and stay safe and happy
