Aqualis Market Performance & Future Plans

Bjangles and Cryptoeater discussed the performance of the Aqualis market, which has processed over 108,000 USD worth of transactions but struggles with market share and user volume. The ongoing token sale has been affected by the surge in Decentraland's value due to Rebellion and Lands, and there's no hard deadline for the public sale yet. The team also considered listing their token on a centralized exchange. They also explored the issue of repeated missed deadlines with the land release, attributing them to the nature of development work. The team discussed an upcoming release on Mavs server and emphasized the need to focus on quality. Cryptoeater also shared the plan to expand into a massive defi network using the Splinterlands community as a starting point, and they are starting a round of seed sales soon. They also highlighted the unique features of their protocol, including money markets and a stable coin trading liquidity pool, and shared their plan to enhance capital efficiency across DeFi through their algorithm, Acquire.

Polygon Network Launch and Splinterlands Potential

Cryptoeater and Hepthorn discussed the potential launch of their liquidity pool on the Polygon network due to its low gas fees and future potential. They also considered using USDT and USDC for the liquidity pool and Ethereum, BSC, and Polygon for the cryptos on the lending side. Cryptoeater shared his recent learning about the technical aspects of Polygon's infrastructure and expressed his belief in its scalability and low gas fees. The possibility of Splinterlands, a popular blockchain game, going cross-chain was also discussed. Cryptoeater expressed his opinion that being on a smaller, lesser-known blockchain restricts the game's exposure and potential player base. He suggested moving the game to a more well-known blockchain or implementing cross-chain assets could help overcome these limitations. Cryptoeater expressed optimism about the growth potential of Splinterlands, noting that despite its current success, the game has barely tapped into its core market. He emphasized the importance of web 3 marketing strategies, such as utilizing key opinion leaders and social media platforms, to build a strong brand presence for the game.

Proposals to Replace B. USD, Introduce Unstake SPS, and Update Splinterlands Rewards*

Cryptoeater and Hepthorn discussed proposals to replace B. USD with USD and introduce an unstake SBS proposal. Cryptoeater emphasized the need for flexibility for stakers to access their funds when needed, proposing a 4% burn penalty for unstaking. They also discussed updating the access percentage from 4% to 5% and the potential impact of volatility on the coin's price. Cryptoeater proposed a new feature to allow users to unstake their Splinterlands (SPS) tokens during random hive pumps, which Bjangles praised and highlighted as a source of burning SPS. They also considered introducing heavier rewards for longer stakes in Splinterlands, with Cryptoeater expressing support but noting community receptiveness. In a separate discussion, Cryptoeater shared his views on a proposal to stop rewarding pools without an SPS pair, expressing his support as it would encourage users to stake their SPS.

Discussion on Centralized Exchanges and Fiat Gateways

Cryptoeater and Hepthorn discussed their experiences with centralized exchanges and the associated fees. Cryptoeater expressed concerns about the high fees charged by these platforms, particularly for instant swap type transactions. Hepthorn, on the other hand, uses Crypto.com for fiat to crypto transactions and is satisfied with the spread fees. They also discussed using Crypto.com as a fiat gateway and the process of moving assets on-chain. Cryptoeater shared his personal method of using Crypto.com to convert fiat into stable coins, then using other networks like Tron or Polygon to minimize fees. The pair agreed that as long as a user has access to fiat and stable coins, they can use platforms like Finance.com to transfer assets to Bsc. Cryptoeater expressed a strong desire to see Splinterlands (SPS) go cross chain, particularly to Polygon, to mitigate high Ethereum gas fees and the removal of market makers. Cryptoeater also mentioned a proposal to expand Splinterlands' presence on Polygon and create a bridge to Polygon to incentivize the Polygon pool with SPS rewards. However, no final decisions were made regarding these proposals.

Web 2 Gamers, User Experience, and Splinterlands Delays

Cryptoeater, Hepthorn, and Bjangles discussed the challenges of appealing to Web 2 gamers and the importance of a smooth user experience. The conversation then focused on the ongoing delays of the Land feature in Splinterlands, with Bjangles expressing disappointment over the recent delay. Cryptoeater attributed the delay to Matt's concern over recent code changes and his desire to ensure a smooth launch, while also discussing the implications of the upcoming change in Splinterlands' ecosystem. The group also discussed the potential impact of the upcoming lands 1.5 update on the game's economy, with Cryptoeater suggesting that it might bring economic relief to the game. Hepthorn and Bjangles expressed their agreement with Cryptoeater's viewpoints.

Transitioning to Splinterlands 2.0: Land Surfing & Resource Allocation

The team discussed the transition from Splinterlands version 1.5 to 2.0. Cryptoeater shared his mixed feelings about the land surfing feature and suggested a land rental system could be challenging to manage. The team also discussed the allocation of resources in the game and the strategy of prioritizing Splinterlands (SPS) at the start and then gradually moving into Research. Cryptoeater emphasized his commitment to adding value to the Splinterlands community and confirmed his access to information about the upcoming 2.0 white paper. The team decided to explore using different platforms for releasing information and building hype around the 2.0 white paper, with a focus on the importance of the grain market. The utility of Rooney and grain market in the game was also discussed, with Bjangles asserting that grain market is fundamental.

Rebellion Release Strategies: Packs, Promos, Bots, and Value

Bjangles and Cryptoeater discussed their strategies for the upcoming Rebellion release in their game. Cryptoeater expressed his decision to buy packs to enter the top 30 and possibly collaborate with others, and shared his ideas for designing promo card auctions and choosing custom buffs or debuffs for cards. They also discussed potential bot activity in the game and the possibility of using packs for value in the 'burning' mechanism, which is currently subject to Matt's approval. Cryptoeater also proposed a new system for burning cards to obtain points and rewards, which will be evaluated once 'lands 1.5' is released. The potential long-term value of Chaos Legion cards was also discussed, with Cryptoeater clarifying that the multiplier doesn't necessarily need to increase for it to become more valuable.

Exclusive Land-Based Cards and Asset Management in Splinterlands

Cryptoeater proposed the creation of exclusive land-based cards in Splinterlands that could not be used for ranked games or splinterlands, and Hepthorn agreed with the idea of using land as a sink for cards. The team also discussed the concept of burning versus staking assets in the game, with Cryptoeater expressing a preference for burning as it creates scarcity. They also touched on the idea of combining cards in the game and the potential of lands as a great equalizer in the card market. Furthermore, Cryptoeater revealed that some players were against his proposal and even threatened to quit the game. Finally, they discussed the value of a certain tool that is flexible, can sync, burn, and manipulate various items, and is intuitive in nature.

Reflecting on Boss Monsters and Splinterlands' Potential

The team reflected on past purchases of the game 'Boss Monsters' and discussed the method of transferring account ownership. The conversation also touched on Flauwy’s recent listing of his boss monster for sale. Cryptoeater shared his thoughts on the design of an upcoming project and expressed interest in selling the rights if a favorable offer comes up. The team also explored the possibility of cross-marketing and expanding into a full-scale game, with Cryptoeater arguing that selling out could ensure the sustainability of a web3 game like Splinterlands. The team discussed potential revenue streams, including ads and other monetization strategies, and Cryptoeater emphasized their necessity for the company's survival. The conversation concluded with Cryptoeater expressing his high expectations for Splinterlands' potential due to its ecosystem, tokenomics, and untapped PvE aspect. He also spoke about the potential of Splinterlands' blockchain, Hive, to handle a large number of transactions and users, and the issue of bot activity on the platform.
