Greetings, Splinterlands!

Just sharing our most recent podcast with Leveluplife from TeamPH.

Unfortunatley, Bjangles, the technical brains behind this outfit, was man down on the day, so it was left to old Wascal, the opposite of technical brains, to steer the bus for this episode.

After finally working out how to start the engine of The People's Guild bus (I found where the record button was!), Leveluplife and I had a good old chinwag that lasted the good part of two and a half hours!

After moving from the USA to the Philippines eight years ago, Leveluplife has definitely not been supping pinacoladas at Mangomayhem's bar, The Mango Lounge & Estates all day, no way Jose!

This is a man of many talents, a coconut farmer, a goat farmer and now most recently, a farmer in the Metaverse of Praetoria. Let's just say that the move to the Philippines has woken up the entrepreneur in him.

Whilst talking, we got onto the subject of Bitcoin and the importance it could well have on our future. This has been one of the roughest years for many people, banks have fallen, people have lost their life savings, yet, one thing that has possibly been a shining light is Bitcoin.

Yes, it's fallen, but a large group of people have still been HODLing. Why? Well, after talking it through, we both came to the conclusion that it's belief. A belief that this is something that is stronger than the monetary value placed on it.

Simon Dixon once said that Bitcoin shouldn't even be talked about now, because it was a crazy concept that very few took seriously. The chances of it being a success were very slim.

But, why are we talking about it?

Quite simply, it was a movement, a movement of people, a small group of people, that truly believed that things needed to change. It was born from the financial crisis of 2008. The time was right.

Another thing that was born from that financial crisis of 2018 was Splinterlands. Not straight away, but as a result of it. Yabapmatt, also had that same thought, something needed to change, and from that seed planted, this is why we are here today.

And now we come full circle. Leveluplife mentioned that he would go down with the Splinterlands' ship, if the shit ever did hit the fan. He strongly believes that Splinterlands is a movement, and he is here for a reason. Splinterlands also went through something similar at the beginning, but again, a small group of people believed in the game and they believed and trusted in Matt and Aggy's vision. Peace, Prosperity & Freedom.

Games like Splinterlands are providing hope for so many. Leveluplife uses the example that Splinterlands is giving some people in the Philippines a freedom that they have never had the luxury of before. They can keep their money there, they can earn interest on their assets, they can rent, buy and sell their assets.

If you look around the world, many people are not able to open up bank accounts. Games like Splinterlands are providing people with a freedom.

Maybe that promo card aint your cup of tea, maybe your EOS chests are a kick in the crown jewels, maybe people will vote to ban bots, and maybe you went 0-8 in the last brawl. Well, boo hoo, if that's all you've got to worry about, then life is good.

This, like Leveluplife said, is a movement, and we have to work together for it to be a success. Put away those salt shakers, think long term, think of the bigger picture.
