A Dirty Job

There was a huge crash on the freeway. A tanker truck flipped, split it contents open and flooded the entire section with its contents. What were the contents you might ask? Caramel.

The children of the forest ran out onto the highway with a crazed look in their eyes. They could obviously smell the liquid sugar wafting off the hot pavement during this overly hot summer. Mark watched the entire process unfold right before his eyes.

Traffic was at a standstill and the surrounding vehicles were stuck in this gelatinous mess. The children rushed in and got stuck too. No big deal, they started to eat their way out of this strange situation.

Mark got on the phone and called to report the accident. The operator thought he was joking with this crazy story going on. No joke, we need help here. Nobody is injured but these kids are going to have sore stomachs and no teeth left if we can't get this situation under control.

While emergency services are dispatched Mark takes it upon himself to help. He puts a bandanna around his face and proceeds to make his way down to "the incident".

This is a sticky, dirty job but he's up to the task.

Only later that day when sitting at home did he start thinking about this mob of forest children. More questions than answers.

What a strange day!

You read my mind and my story. Thanks for that, I was trying to think of something a little different here. I can only imagine once they go back into the forest, everything will stick to them like glue lol

I hope you're having a good week.
