Desde hace unos cuantos días mi amigo @jotaunive me estuvo recomendando la serie Arcane y el día de ayer la terminé. No es que tenga mucho tiempo para el ocio actualmente ya que estoy pasando por una etapa realmente importante en mi vida (es algo bueno) que me gustaría compartir pronto, pero por ahora prefiero reservarmelo.

En realidad no terminé viendo Arcane solamente por Jota, en realidad, gran parte de mi círculo social ha visto esta serie y todos coinciden con que sin duda alguna es una creación increíble. También he visto en algunas imágenes de Facebook que indican que Arcane ha superado al juego del calamar. Así que:

¿Realmente es tan buena? Aquí va mi opinión

Destrucción, miseria, desigualdad e injusticia es lo que nos presenta la serie en su primer capítulo. Esta serie es el perfecto reflejo de la realidad de muchísimas personas que viven en países subdesarrollados donde el gobierno trabaja con los ojos vendados mientras la destrucción ocurre en la parte sin importancia de la región.

Me gustó muchísimo la animación desde el principio, de hecho, me pareció increíblemente nostálgica ya que esta animación me teletransporta a hace 7 años cuando salió a la luz la increíble cinemática "Get Jinxed" que nos mostraba el lado más loco y divertido de Jinx. La música es realmente buena, les recomiendo echarle una ojeada al video aunque no sean fans de League of Legends.

Para mí, Arcane no tiene protagonistas en la serie. Si bien hay personajes que aparecen desde el principio y tienen más atención que el resto, en realidad se encargaron de darle completo desarrollo a cada uno de estos. Por obvias razones la serie se enfoca en los distintos personajes que podemos jugar en la grieta del invocador, pero también hay personajes "secundarios" que tienen una gran importancia en toda la serie y que hacen que la historia de Arcane sea increíblemente buena.

Vi y Jinx son los primeros personajes importantes que veremos en la serie. A medida que transcurre el tiempo se incorporan más personajes importantes que hacen que Arcane sea una experiencia más flexible de lo común. Aún me sigue pareciendo asombroso la importancia de los personajes secundarios en esta serie, personajes que solamente están en la historia de League of Legends y no tienen participación alguna dentro del juego. El padre adoptivo de Vi y Jinx es Vander, y hay muchísimas teorías sobre él. (No las mencionaré porque ya sería un spoiler completamente).

Y esto es algo que me gustó muchísimo de esta serie, hay muchas, pero MUCHAS cosas que quedaron completamente abiertas. Esto da la posibilidad a un gran número de posibles personajes que podrían aparecer en la segunda entrega de esta reliquia. Realmente supieron cómo manejar la expectativa a lo largo de esta serie y lo que nos depara para la segunda temporada es más que increíble.

Todo en esta historia está completamente justificado. ¿Qué quiero decir con esto? Ningún personaje comete decisiones que van en contra de lo que se ha desarrollado a lo largo de la serie y esto es algo que se aprecia en TODOS los aspectos de la serie. La forma en la locura de Jinx estuvo creciendo mientras que Jayce cada vez más apreciaba la idea de la guerra mientras que veía la crueldad del distrito suburbano, la relación que iba creciendo entre Caitlyn y Vi. Todo avanzó de forma sana y correcta, algo que me encantó completamente.

Ni hablar de Ekko, quien sin duda alguna es uno de los personajes más badass que van a existir en toda la serie. Jamás me esperaba que estos personajes que, para ser honesto, no suelo jugar mucho en la grieta del invocador, tenían una historia tan profunda e importante. Ekko es sin duda el que mejor manejó toda la tragedia que ocurrió dentro de Zaun, siempre tuve fe en el negro más importante de toda latinoamerica.

Oh, y algo que me gustó muchísimo fue el diseño que le dieron a los Firelights, aunque me recuerdan muchísimo a los Fireflies de The Last of Us (espero que haya sido una referencia, porque sin duda alguna quedó perfecta).

La escena final de esta serie fue, para mí, lo que hizo que esta obra maestra sea la perfección hecha serie. El tema de la expectativa es lo que hizo que Arcane se posicionara muy rápidamente en el puesto número 1 de las mejores series que he visto en toda mi vida.

Junto a What If, sin duda alguna estas son mis 2 series animadas favoritas que me vería más de 1 sola vez por la cantidad de escenas épicas y trasfondo profundo que tienen. Arcane deja un mensaje y una reflexión de lo que es el mundo actualmente en zonas subdesarrolladas, dándole un punto positivo para que las personas logren empatizar más fácilmente con todos los personajes y con todo el contexto en el que se basa la serie.

Arcane para mí se lleva un 90/10 si tuviera que puntuarla, literalmente tiene todos los aspectos deseables que una serie debe tener e incluso los lleva a un siguiente nivel. Debo recalcar que la animación es realmente buena, un completo espectáculo visual para una historia con una narrativa perfecta con el sonido y la ambientación adecuados para todo momento.

Arcane está a otro nivel, y el imperio de Riot Games apenas comienza.

Since a few days ago my friend @jotaunive has been recommending me Arcane and yesterday I finished it. Not that I have much time for entertainment at the moment as I'm going through a really important stage in my life (it's a good thing) that I'd like to share soon, but for now I'd rather keep it to myself.

I actually didn't end up watching Arcane just because of Jota, in fact, much of my social circle has watched this series and all agree that it is without a doubt an amazing creation. I've also seen on some Facebook images that indicate that Arcane has surpassed the squid game. So:

Is it really that good? Here's my opinion

Destruction, misery, inequality and injustice is what the series presents in its first chapter. This series is the perfect reflection of the reality of many people living in underdeveloped countries where the government works blindfolded while destruction occurs in the unimportant part of the region.

For me, Arcane has no protagonists in the series. While there are characters that appear from the beginning and have more attention than the rest, they actually took care to give full development to each of these. For obvious reasons the series focuses on the different characters that we can play in the summoner's rift, but there are also "secondary" characters that have a great importance in the whole series and make Arcane's story incredibly good.

Vi and Jinx are the first important characters we will see in the series. As time goes on, more important characters are incorporated that make Arcane a more flexible experience than usual. I still find it amazing how important the supporting characters are in this series, characters that are only in the League of Legends story and have no in-game involvement. Vi and Jinx's adoptive father is Vander, and there are many, many theories about him. (I won't mention them because it would be a complete spoiler).

And this is something that I really liked about this series, there are many, but MANY things that were left completely open. This gives the possibility for a large number of possible characters that could appear in the second installment of this relic. They really knew how to manage the anticipation throughout this series and what the second season has in store for us is beyond amazing.

Everything in this story is completely justified. What do I mean by this? No character commits decisions that go against what has been developed throughout the series and this is something that is apparent in EVERY aspect of the series. The way Jinx's insanity was growing as Jayce increasingly appreciated the idea of war while seeing the cruelty of the suburban district, the growing relationship between Caitlyn and Vi. It all progressed in a sane and proper way, something I absolutely loved.

Not to mention Ekko, who without a doubt is one of the most badass characters to exist in the entire series. I never expected these characters that, to be honest, I don't usually play much in the summoner's rift, to have such a deep and important story. Ekko is undoubtedly the one who best handled all the tragedy that happened inside Zaun, I always had faith in the most important black guy in all of Latin America.

Oh, and something I really liked was the design they gave to the Firelights, although they remind me a lot of the Fireflies from The Last of Us (I hope it was a reference, because it certainly looked perfect).

The final scene was, for me, what made this masterpiece perfection made series. The theme of expectation is what made Arcane very quickly positioned itself in the number 1 spot of the best series I have ever seen in my entire life.

Together with What If, without a doubt these are my 2 favorite animated series that I would watch more than once for the amount of epic scenes and deep background they have. Arcane leaves a message and a reflection of what the world is like nowadays in underdeveloped areas, giving it a positive point so that people can more easily empathize with all the characters and the whole context in which the series is based.

Arcane for me gets a 90/10 if I had to rate it, it literally has all the desirable aspects that a series should have and even takes them to the next level. I must stress that the animation is really good, a complete visual spectacle for a story with a perfect narrative with the right sound and setting for every moment.

Arcane is on another level, and Riot Games' empire is just beginning.
