¡Hola a todos!

Como ya muchos sabrán, ARK es actualmente el juego offline que ha estado cautivando mi atención y hasta ahora la he pasado increíble. Tengo un mapa en The Center que si bien es cierto que aún no he completado, decidí dejar un poco de lado por la cantidad de dinos potentes que conseguí y que hacían un poco monótona la experiencia.

Para arreglar esto, decidí comenzar una partida desde 0 en un mapa totalmente desconocido para mí: Al principio pensé en Extinction, pero esta expansión parece ser la continuación de Aberration y actualmente esa expansión la está completando @jotaunive desde mi computadora haha, así que no quiero tocar su partida; también quise jugar Genesis: Part 2 porque vi que tenía una absurda cantidad de dinos increíbles, pero luego de notar que la cinemática principal de esta expansión es una continuación, decidí dejarla

Apenas noté esto decidí darle un stop y comenzar al principio como es debido: Genesis Part 1.

En esta cinemática noté un cambio increíble y que me encantó totalmente: Tenemos un compañero en ARK. En esta ocasión nos presentan a HLN-A, una especie de robot volador que está a nuestro alrededor en toda la aventura y nos estará guiando a través de todo nuestro recorrido dentro de Genesis.

Genesis: Part 1 es, en esencia, una simulación completa donde nosotros somos el superviviente supremo (o algo así, básicamente una especie de elegido) y nos están entrenando para que podamos sobrevivir en cualquier bioma que nos proporcionen: Teniendo 5 biomas entre los cuales están: Pantano, oceano, lunar, volcánico y ártico.

Como yo soy un hombre simple, decidí irme por el que a primera vista pareció el bioma más simple: El pantano.

Es asombroso la cantidad de hostilidad que hay en este bioma y aún más irónico es que el juego tiene marcado este bioma como "fácil", haciéndolo demasiado atractivo para los jugadores recién spawneados en este bioma. Yo luego de unas 10 muertes ya que era muy fácil que un Baryonix, un Sarco, un Kaprosuchus o las propias hormigas me mataran, decidí probar todos los biomas.. y terminé escogiendo uno bastante fuera de lo común.

El volcánico fue mi casa durante todo mi inicio en Genesis.

Siendo el bioma más contraintuitivo ya que es definido como "muy difícil" dentro del juego, resultó ser muchísimo más fácil y, al menos para mí, más sencillo para sobrevivir que el apestoso pantano. En este bioma están los dinosaurios más fuertes que he podido conseguir hasta ahora (me falta bastante por explorar en los otros biomas).

Diría que una de las desventajas de vivir en el bioma volcánico es el calor (por obvias razones) y esto es el mayor counter que tendrás a lo largo de la partida dentro de este bioma, pero luego de subirme la fortaleza a más de 20 puntos (es una estadística que te hace más resistente a las condiciones climáticas donde estés viviendo) comencé a tener menos problemas de calor con la vestimenta adecuada y así pude eliminar totalmente ese problema.

Mi segundo problema (y lo que me hizo mudarme a otro luga) fue la cantidad de dinos. Usualmente esto no es un problema si vivieras en una costa pacífica como en The Island, pero en este bioma volcánico es otra historia totalmente diferente. La cantidad de dinos hostiles alrededor es simplemente abismal, y esto hace que seas constantemente perseguido y atocigado por cualquier ser viviente.

Algo bastante genial es que en este bioma hay derrumbes de piedras (hasta ahora no sé qué hacen) y también hay erupciones volcánicas en donde empiezan a salir disparados piedras que pueden matarte de un solo golpe XD.

Solo miren los tipos de dinos que viven aquí:

Este es un Magmasaurio, una jodida máquina de matar.

Este es un basilisco, otra máquina de matar que, al menos en mi opinión, es aún mucho más molesto que el Magmasaurio.

Y se preguntarán: ¿Qué carajos hacen estos dinos?

Resumidamente el Magmasaurio es un dino bastante tosco que tiene varias habilidades que lo hacen único, pues, puede disparar bolas de magma a una distancia BASTANTE grande y si te toca este disparo quedarás con una quemadura bastante fuerte que te hará algo de daño por unos 5 segundos. Por el otro lado, el basilisco simplemente tiene la capacidad de aparecer desde CUALQUIER LADO porque son demasiado agresivos y como míninimo unos 3 basiliscos cayeron al lado de mi casa desde lo más alto de las montañas: Ni siquiera sé cómo, solo sé que fue muy mala suerte.

Mientras estaba en este bioma decidí ir a domesticar un Argentavis ya que es uno de los mejores dinos que existen por todas sus estadísticas, pero mientras estuve domesticándolo y dándole de comer un Magmasaurio apareció de la nada y simplemente descargó todo su odio encima del Argentavis.

Por más que estaba golpeando al Magmasaurio no lograba hacer que cambiara de aggro y con solamente estar cerca de él también me causaba quemaduras en el personaje, por lo que no pude hacer mucho para rescatar a mi pobre Argentavis.

Mientras exploraba en el bioma volcánico en una de mis muertes noté esta estructura y estoy totalmente seguro de que es algo relacionado al lore. No tengo ni idea de qué es esta expansión, pero me gusta volver a jugar ARK con 0 conocimientos ya que se siente como si estuvieras jugando otro juego totalmente nuevo.

Al parecer en los biomas hay fallas que debemos arreglar y nos recompensarán por ello dándonos un buff de experiencia (como cuando descubres los cofres de experiencia en The Island). Según HLN-A, estos errores se tratan de errores cometidos por la inteligencia artificial que prepara estas simulaciones.

No tengo ni idea de cómo funciona esto y en qué afecta al lore, pero yo no cuestiono, yo solo sobrevivo.

Luego de haber muerto un par de veces y luego de haberme ido en búsqueda de domesticar un dinosaurio como un Estego, noté que mi casa estaba totalmente destruida. Lastimosamente no pude tomar screenshot de nada de esto debido a que estuve bastante estresado al no poder recuperar mis cosas, pero cuando descubrí que un Basilisco había destruido mi casa, decidí mudarme de nuevo al bioma de pantano (estando mejor preparado y con mejor equipamiento).

Luego de esto no he tomado tantos screenshots porque se me ha olvidado, pero básicamente tengo un hogar nuevo en el pantano y ahora sí estoy logrando sobrevivir como es debido. Genesis ha sido DEMASIADO complicado y por eso no me he centrado en cosas como tomar screenshots bonitos, pero hey, lo estoy disfrutando como nunca.

Solo miren lo que he logrado domesticar :)

Sin duda alguna estaré actualizando con más el cómo me está yendo en este mapa que hasta ahora me ha encantado. Pronto les traeré más de mis aventuras en ARK, y como siempre, muchísimas gracias por leer todo esto.

Y sí, esperen verme mucho más en Hive, ya no podía estar más tiempo sin estar por acá.

Hello everyone!

As many of you may already know, ARK is currently the offline game that has been captivating my attention and so far I've been having an amazing time. I have a map in The Center that while it's true that I haven't completed yet, I decided to leave a little aside because of the amount of powerful dinos I got and that made the experience a bit monotonous.

To fix this, I decided to start a game from 0 in a map totally unknown to me: At first I thought about Extinction, but this expansion seems to be the continuation of Aberration and currently that expansion is being completed by @jotaunive from my computer haha, so I don't want to touch his game; I also wanted to play Genesis: Part 2 because I saw it had an absurd amount of amazing dinos, but after noticing that the main cinematic of this expansion is a continuation, I decided to drop it.

As soon as I noticed this I decided to give it a stop and start at the beginning as it should be: Genesis Part 1.

In this cinematic I noticed an incredible change that I totally loved: We have a companion in ARK. This time we are introduced to HLN-A, a kind of flying robot that is around us throughout the adventure and will be guiding us through our entire journey inside Genesis.

Genesis: Part 1 is, in essence, a complete simulation where we are the supreme survivor (or something like that, basically a kind of chosen one) and we are being trained so that we can survive in any biome they provide us with: Having 5 biomes among which are: swamp, ocean, lunar, volcanic and arctic..

Being a simple man myself, I decided to go for what at first glance seemed to be the simplest biome: The swamp.

It's amazing how much hostility there is in this biome and even more ironic is that the game has this biome marked as "easy", making it too attractive for players just spawning in this biome. I after about 10 kills since it was too easy to get killed by a Baryonix, a Sarco, a Kaprosuchus or the ants themselves, I decided to try all the biomes.. and ended up choosing one that was quite out of the ordinary.

The volcanic was my home throughout my start in Genesis.

Being the most counter-intuitive biome as it is defined as "very difficult" in the game, it turned out to be much easier and, at least for me, simpler to survive than the stinking swamp. In this biome are the strongest dinosaurs I have been able to get so far (I still have a lot to explore in the other biomes).

I would say that one of the disadvantages of living in the volcanic biome is the heat (for obvious reasons) and this is the biggest counter that you will have throughout the game in this biome, but after raising my strength to more than 20 points (it is a statistic that makes you more resistant to the weather conditions where you are living) I began to have less heat problems with the right clothing and so I could completely eliminate that problem.

My second problem (and what made me move to another place) was the amount of dinos. Usually this is not a problem if you live on a peaceful coast like on The Island, but in this volcanic biome it is a totally different story. The amount of hostile dinos around is simply abysmal, and this makes you constantly being chased and chased by any living thing.

Something pretty cool is that in this biome there are rockslides (so far I don't know what they do) and there are also volcanic eruptions where rocks start shooting out that can kill you in one hit XD.

Just look at the types of dinos that live here:

This is a Magmasaurus, a fucking killing machine.

This is a basilisk, another killing machine that, at least in my opinion, is even much more annoying than the Magmasaurus.

And you may ask: What the fuck do these dinos do?

In short, the Magmasaurus is a pretty rough dino that has several abilities that make it unique, well, it can shoot magma balls at a pretty big distance and if you get hit by this shot you will be left with a pretty strong burn that will do some damage for about 5 seconds. On the other hand, the basilisk simply has the ability to appear from ANY SIDE because they are too aggressive and at least 3 basilisks fell next to my house from the top of the mountains: I don't even know how, I just know it was very bad luck.

While I was in this biome I decided to tame an Argentavis since it is one of the best dinos that exist for all its stats, but while I was taming it and feeding it a Magmasaurus appeared out of nowhere and simply unloaded all its hatred on the Argentavis.

As much as I was hitting the Magmasaurus I couldn't get it to change aggro and just being close to it also caused burns on my character, so I couldn't do much to rescue my poor Argentavis.

While exploring in the volcanic biome on one of my kills I noticed this structure and I'm absolutely sure it's something related to the lore. I have no idea what this expansion is, but I like replaying ARK with 0 knowledge as it feels like you're playing another game entirely.

Apparently in the biomes there are bugs that we must fix and they will reward us for it by giving us an experience buff (like when you discover the experience chests in The Island). According to HLN-A, these bugs are about mistakes made by the artificial intelligence that prepares these simulations.

I have no idea how this works and how it affects the lore, but I don't question, I just survive.

After dying a couple of times and then going on a quest to tame a dinosaur like a Stego, I noticed that my house was totally destroyed. Unfortunately I couldn't take screenshots of any of this because I was quite stressed about not being able to get my stuff back, but when I found out that a Basilisk had destroyed my house, I decided to move back to the swamp biome (being better prepared and with better equipment).

After that I haven't taken that many screenshots because I forgot, but basically I have a new home in the swamp and now I'm managing to survive properly. Genesis has been TOO complicated and that's why I haven't focused on things like taking nice screenshots, but hey, I'm enjoying it like never before.

No doubt I'll be updating with more on how I'm doing on this map that I've loved so far. Soon I will bring you more of my adventures in ARK, and as always, thank you so much for reading all this.
